Tuning of PD-PI and PI-PD Controllers to Control the Internal Humidity of a Greenhouse

Abstract
This paper investigates the possibility of controlling a greenhouse inside humidity using an unstable humidity model. The proposed controller must depress disturbances while achieving optimal reference input tracking. Two advanced PID controllers—PD-PI and PI-PD—are explored for this control approach, with tuning conducted via MATLAB optimization toolbox. Performance analysis compares these controllers with a PID + first-order filter used in a previous study.
