Abstract
In this paper, our aim is to study the effect of an externally applied magnetic field over the flow characteristics of blood in a single stenosed artery. The study of MHD blood flow in stenosed arteries is relevant for developing advanced diagnostic tools and treatment methods, such as magnetically controlled drug delivery and artificial blood substitutes. Analytical expressions for velocity, volumetric flow rate, pressure gradient, and wall shear stress are obtained. The numerical solution for pressure gradient and wall shear stress has been demonstrated graphically.
