Abstract

Global greenhouse gas emissions have reached alarming levels, exacerbating climate change. Industrial activities, especially in Nigeria’s oil-producing regions, significantly contribute to environmental degradation. This study designs an IoT-driven real-time data capture system integrating MQ22 sensors, ESP32 MCU, and MQTT protocol linked to GCP cloud storage for efficient greenhouse gas monitoring. The research highlights the effectiveness of IoT solutions in environmental management, paving the way for future improvements in emission control.
