Abstract
Fabrication and performance evaluation of a simple laboratory metal extrusion machine were carried out using different manufacturing processes such as cutting, welding, machining, casting, and finishing. This machine was designed for experimental and laboratory applications, utilizing locally sourced materials and workshop techniques. The extrusion machine was tested using six different dies to produce extrudates. Results indicated that a larger workpiece diameter reduced extrusion time. The project contributes practical engineering insights for extrusion process studies.
