Abstract
This paper investigates the tuning of PD-PI, PI-PD, and 2DOF-2 controllers when used to control an electro-hydraulic drive. The controllers are optimized using MATLAB and ITAE performance indices, with a novel technique for disturbance rejection. Results are presented in graphical and tabulated form, comparing effectiveness with PID control.
