Abstract

The study investigated the impact of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) fibers on cementitious composite materials (mortars) compressive strength. It encompassed a comprehensive analysis of various properties derived from compressive tests, including stress-strain curves, ultimate strength, ultimate strain, maximum strain, modulus of elasticity, secant modulus, and toughness. The research also examined fracture patterns, correlating them with mortar properties. The experimental results demonstrated a 46.88% increase in compressive strength, along with improvements of 40.49% and 58.25% in modulus of elasticity and secant modulus, respectively.

Keywords
