Abstract
In India, the most common health monitoring systems for different structures are by manual is in practice. But in a competitive world, there is a need of real time monitoring as a part of Internet of Things. To study the performance of the developed wireless sensor platforms in real field problems, experimental studies were carried out on the health assessment of a prestressed concrete girder bridge by deploying the developed wireless sensor systems. Conventional sensor system was deployed for comparing the performance of the wireless sensor system. Hence the wireless sensor system shall be used for structural health monitoring applications. Abstract
This paper comprises of the Design and Fabrication of a Four Wheel Steering mechanism which improves manoeuvrability in trucks, cars, trailers and other four wheelers. In general two wheel steering vehicles, the rear wheels do not play any role in association with the steering, i.e they follow the path of the front wheels. In a four wheel system the rear wheels are made to turn left and right as per the requirements. To keep the operation as simple as possible a computer controlled mechanism can be incorporated for the rear wheels. The rear wheels can be controlled in the following fundamental ways: At slow speeds the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels. This can reduce the turning radius approximately by 21%. At faster speeds on the highway, the rear wheels are made to turn in the same direction of the front wheels. This improves the lane changing manoeuvrability is particularly beneficial for vehicle towing. Abstract
This paper presents a nonlinear finite element model using ANSYS. Geometrical parameters are carried out to investigate the materials. The composite beam cross-section is 450x300mm and lengths of 3m are casted with I-section. All beams are casted with the grade of M20. To analysing the composite beams with circular and rectangular openings with different distance. Three dimensional finite element models are developed in the work. The analytical results of stress, strain and displacement are compared with L/3 distance. To evaluate the flexural performance of composite beams under two-point loading. Abstract
The main objective of power saver is to reduce overall power consumption at public and private sector.MCS52series89C52 micro controller is used in the construction of power saver. The micro controller operates different loads according to time schedule programmed in EEPROME by reading the data from real time clock (RTC) for time and date. According to the user requirement the time schedule and connected load voltage can be programmed. 20 intervals per day can be used in the operation of each and every load. Different loads can be programmed according to the different timings according to day selection. Day selection is considered as primary. For practical purpose for different voltages with one 300VA transformer are taken. According to the requirement the load input voltages can be altered. Abstract
Chat Bots are the programs that attempts to simulate the conversation of human being via text or voice interactions using Artificial Intelligence Markup language(AIML). Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML) is a way of making a computer-controlled robot, or a software think intelligently, in the similar manner the humans think.In this paper we provide the design of a ChatBot for movie application where user can get complete details for what they are looking for , which provides an efficient and accurate answer for any query based on the dataset of FAQs using AIML. Template based and general questions like welcome/greetings and general questions will be responded using AIML that will serve user need. Latent Semantic Analysis(LSA) is one of the component of Natural Language Processing(NLP).LSA is the ability of a computer program to understand human language. LSA allows ChatBots to understand the messages and respond appropriately. This ChatBot is prepared to get movie details and answer FAQs in an interactive fashion. The aim of this project is to detect the strength between the plastic paver block and concrete paver block. In this paper we have discussed about the convenient use of plastic waste in a proper way. In this project we have used plastic waste in different proportions(molten state) mixed with recycled aggregate.The paver blocks were casted, tested and the results were discussed. Abstract
Glass is used in many forms in day-to-day life. It has limited life span and after use it is either stock piled or sent to landfills. Since glass is non-biodegradable, landfills do not provide an environment friendly solution. Hence, there is strong need to utilize waste glasses. Many efforts have been made to use waste glass in concrete industry as a replacement of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and cement. Its performance as a coarse aggregate replacement has been found to be non-satisfactory because of strength regression and expansion due to alkali-silica reaction. The research shows that there is strength loss due to fine aggregate substitution also.In this project we are going to replace the cement partially using glass powder which is rich in silica. Therefore, we have planned to prepare some numbers of cubes, using glass powder at various proportions like 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%and going to test them for its compressive strength. The casted specimens will be tested for its strength. We have also planned to prepare some numbers of cubes using conventional concrete. From the test results, we are going to compare the behavior of glass powder concrete with conventional concrete. In this work we are going to use waste glasses, so the cost will be comparatively low when compared with normal concrete.
