Optimisation of Machining Parameters of Face Milling by Using Taguchi Method- V. Chaithanya Raam, V. VikranthBalaji, M.S.Amrish
Abstract
To be successful in a competitive industrial situation producer has to provide output which has distinctive advantages over others. Quality is a good tool for competition. For achieving quality we have to start right from the inception stage of the product and continue till product is giving service. The new approach, which is emerging, is based on Zero Defect system, quality control circles and off line quality control. Out of these, Taguchi’s method of off-line quality control is most comprehensive and effective system. It gives a design of product, which is requiring very less on-line quality control. Taguchi's approach has both philosophical and mathematical contents. The methodologies developed to implement his ideas are known as Taguchi methods. In this paper, Taguchi Method has been used to identify the optimal combination of influential factors in the milling process. Milling experiment has been performed on EN 36 material block, according to Taguchi orthogonal array (L9) for various combinations of controllable parameters viz. spindle speed, feed and depth of cut. The surface roughness (Ra) is measured and recorded for each experimental run and analysed using Taguchi method and finally the optimal combination is chosen. Anticipation Algorithm Used in Block Chain Technology- Reeta Mishra
Abstract
Block chain (BC), the technology which behind the Bitcoin crypto-currency system, is both alluring and critical for ensuring enhanced security and privacy for diverse applications in many other domains - including in the Internet of Things (IoT) eco-system. Still research is currently being conducted in both academia and industry applying the Blockchain technology in multifarious applications. Proof-of-Work (PoW), a cryptographic puzzle, plays a important role in ensuring BC security by maintaining a digital ledger of transactions, which is considered to be incorruptible. Blockchain uses a changeable Public Key to record the users’ identity, which provides an extra layer of privacy. Not only in crypto-currency has the successful adoption of BC been implemented but also in multifaceted non-monetary systems such as in: distributed storage systems, proof-of-location, healthcare, decentralized voting and so forth. Effect of Lime (CaO) in Consolidation and Swelling Properties of Soil- Nripen Mazumdar, Dr. (Mrs) Bibha Das Saikia, Dr. Bipul Talukdar
Abstract
Soil is a very complex materials which includes all deposits of loose materials produced by physical and chemical weathering of solid rocks. The soil of one place is different from the soil of the other places due to variety of formation processes. Since the nature of soil varies from place to place, the properties of various physical characteristics of soil also become area specific. Therefore, adequate knowledge of properties of soil is very much essential in general as well as area specific for safe design of foundation, construction of roads, construction of airfields, construction of railway track etc. The knowledge of swelling and compressibility of soil is very important to all civil engineer and geo technical engineer as the safety of any structure largely depend on the swelling and compressibility characteristics of the soil beneath the structures. The load bearing capacity of soil can be increased by using various soil improvement techniques such as compaction, soil replacement, chemical treatment, earth reinforcement, sand piles etc. The chemical treatment by fly ash or lime is a very good and effective technique to improve the stability of soil which have been investigated by various experts all over the world. In this work also, it is attempted to study the effect of lime in consolidation and swelling properties of soil and to find the optimum level of dose of lime to be added for best performance. Performance Evaluation Of Rotary Carbonization Pyrolysis As Durian Shell Biobriquettes Raw Materials- Ellyta Sari, Pasymi, Umar Khatab, Elly Desni Rahman
Abstract
The main process of making biobriquettes is carbonization, namely the formation of biomass into charcoal. Carbonization as charcoal producing tool are being developed today. This is conducted to produce maximum and qualified charcoal. In this research, we have made a prototype of multipurpose tool for carbonization. Besides producing charcoal, we can also utilize its smoke as liquid smoke. This tool is called the Pyrolysis Rotary Carbonisator. This carbonization tool is very effective and easy to use in terms of removing charcoal from the carbonization tool. This design can provide optimal results, that give maximum quantity of charcoal and more evenly heat transfer so carbonization process can be perfect and produce high quality of charcoal as material for bio-briquette. Performance evaluations on the tool proof that it has average efficiency of 90%. Another way of evaluating the work is viewed from the temperature of durian shell, palm shell and coconut shell processing with temperature variation of 200, 250, 300 and 400 oC, we also obtained various maximum heat. From this research, maximum calorie of durian shell charcoal at 400 oC is 5628 kcal/kg, while the palm shell at 300 oC is 7578 kcal / kg and the coconut shell at 400 is 7354 kcal / kg. Wifi Based Surveillance Robotic car UsingRaspberry Pi- Kulpreet Kaur Siledar, Amit M. Rawate
Abstract
Video surveillance is the process of monitoring a situation, an area or a person. This generally occurs in a military scenario where surveillance of borderlines and enemy territory is essential to a country’s safety. Human surveillance is achieved by deploying personnel near sensitive areas in order to constantly monitor for changes. But humans do have their limitations, and deployment in inaccessible places is not always possible. There are also added risks of losing personnel in the event of getting caught by the enemy. With advances in technology over the years, it is possible to remotely monitor areas of importance by using robots in place of humans. In this project we use the linux based capabilities to transmit video from USB camera through internet and control the robot movement accordingly. DNA: The New Age Data Storage System- Ms. Meghana Bhandari, Ms. Leena Bhandari
Abstract
The quantum of digital data being produced has long been surmounting the immensity of available storage devices. Demand for data storage has radically overhauled the capacity of existing storage media. Despite periodical developments that lead to improvement in the efficiency of optical discs, storing a zettabyte of data would still take many millions of its units, thus occupying significant physical space and a considerable amount of man power to ensure the safety of the space as well as the credibility of stored data. On the other hand, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), a thread-like chain of nucleotides is a molecule that stores magnanimous amount genetic information used in the growth, development, functioning and reproduction of all known living organisms and many viruses; in the form of its own language or codes. It can therefore be proclaimed as the “Hard disk of Human Life”. It is very small in size, does not require a huge repository and considering the life span of a human, data extracted from age old fossils and other sorts of archaeological studies, the average shelf life of a DNA molecule can span up to several hundred years, without hampering the plausibility of the stored data. In this review we further explore the idea of using DNA as a storage medium for an enormous volume of data. This paper also discusses the feasibility and the challenges associated with this approach. Bus Body Analysis for Dynamic and Static load- Abdul Malik, Prashanth A.S
Abstract
Transports are the preeminent method of road transportation. The look of the vehicle body depends chiefly driving the execution requirement underneath varying sorts of stacking and managing conditions separated from those of the street conditions. The model investigation moreover, static basic associate analysis of an enunciated urban transport body, completed with the FEM. A bus body in while operating in loading conditions is exposed to various loading conditions which leads to stresses, vibration, noise in many parts of the bus structure. The structure requires necessary strength, stiffness and fatigue characters to withstand these loads. The purpose of this work is to analyse the response of the structure during static and dynamic loading conditions. In order to analyse, the tool called ANSYS is used.
