- B.I. Bakare, S. Orike and M.N. Okudu
Abstract
Ultra-wide Band (UWB) antennas are widely used in communication systems of today, this type of antenna system is an improvement of the wide band antennas. The antenna accommodates more bandwidths in the channel. This research work focused on the design of a quad spherical UWB antenna, the antenna was designed to have a 4 elements patch that makes it suitable for Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) technology application. The purpose of this research work is to design a quad spherical shape antenna that would be effective in terms of the radiation power and a better Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) according to the ITU standards. The problems relating to UWB antenna is poor Antenna design resulting to poor performance of the antenna with a very high negative reflections, which results to poor VSWR. The method adopted in this research work is the micro strip patch antenna design technique, part of the materials used was FR4, copper, and Nickel. The Simulation results of the antennas system show’s that the antenna has a voltage standing wave ratio of 1.30 with an output power rating of 1.6 watts out of 2 watts stimulated power with a loss of 0.4 watts due to the absorption of power in the antenna conductor. In conclusion, the antenna system designed is okay to be implemented and improving the antenna arrays and efficiency was also recommended in this work Keyword: Antenna, Bandwidth, Feed-line, MIMO, UWB, VSWR. - - . × B.I. Abstract
In this paper another medium voltage staggered multistring configuration is presented in light of a three-phase cascade H-bridge (CHB) converter and various string dc converters. The proposed configuration empowers a huge increment of the complete limit of the PV framework, while further developing power quality and efficiency. The converter structure is very flexible and particular since it decouples the lattice converter from the PV string converter, which permits to achieve free control objectives. The fundamental test of the proposed configuration is to deal with the intrinsic power awkward nature that happen not just between the various cells of one period of the converter yet in addition between the three stages. The control technique to manage these consequences is likewise presented in this paper. Recreation consequences of a cascade H-bridge (seven level) for a multistring PV framework are introduced to approve the proposed geography and control strategy. Abstract
The models produced from the calibrations were used to predict these physical properties in a test set of activated carbon samples made from diverse source sources. A sample was heated to different temperatures (200°C, 300°C, 400°C, and activated carbon) to track changes in the adsorption's properties. The predicted values and projected values often agree well and give good results for the agricultural waste of Cajanus Cajan. Our experiment yielded entirely satisfactory IV and MB values of 726 mg/g and 175 mg/g, respectively. MB and IV adsorption tests may yield more information with this method than is generally achievable with this material. Abstract
With the aid of RADAR systems, which use electromagnetic swells to discover various physical factors like distance, speed, position, range, direction, and size among others that can either be fixed or be in motion, radio discovery and ranging operations are carried out in various locations such as military installations and commercial use. Particularly in the sphere of navigation, the use of radar systems has advanced significantly. We looked into current navigational technology and proposed an Arduino-based grounded radar system in this investigation. It has an edge over other radar systems since it uses less energy and connects programmers to opensource laws and a wide range of Arduino programmers. A basic ultrasonic detector is mounted on a servo motor that rotates at an angle as part of the system. The goal of this effort is to create an ultrasonic transceiver, which is essentially a type of radar system that measures the speed of ultrasonic waves in open air to determine the precise distance and angle between stationary objects placed surrounding the device To provide the inflexibility of operation conditions, an Arduino microcontroller was utilised to broadcast and admit ultrasonic swells at a frequency of 40 KHz. The reflection of sound is controlled by the delay that exists between the transmitted and incoming waves. Two different types of warnings were used in some testing, the first of which was a visual alarm produced by a specific computer screen. intended to serve as a radar screen. Abstract
Now a day’s competition is huge and all companies are shifting ahead with their personal exclusive techniques. We must use this information and take right decision. Absolutely each and every human beings isn’t like one another and we don’t recognize what customer buys or what their choices are. However, with the assist of system learning technique you can possibly type out the statistics records and may locate the goal group by making use of numerous algorithms to the dataset. The goal of this project is to analyse and segment the customers of an e-commerce company by using the RFM approach of given data. This will enable the e-commerce company to optimize their retention and acquisition strategies. Many businesses get most of their revenue from their ‘best’ or regular customers. Since the resources that a company has, are limited, it is crucial to find these customers and target them. It is equally important to find the customers who are dormant/are at high risk of churning to address their concerns. For this purpose, here we are trying to build an unsupervised learning model which can enable company to analyse their customers via RFM (Recency, Frequency and Monetary value) approach. To analyse this approach and proper grouping of customer segmentation. We are also focusing on all the cancelled orders which contain negative quantities are removed from the data. As expected, customers with the lowest RFM scores have the highest Recency value and the lowest frequency and monetary value, and the vice-versa is true as well. So, here we are trying to create segments within this score range of RFM_Score 3–12, by creating categories in our data and segmenting them as ‘Good customers’, ‘Best customers’, ‘Loyal customers’, and ‘Lost customers’ Keyword: — Clustering, Elbow Method, K-Means Algorithm, Customer Segmentation, Visualization,Good customers, Best customers Loyal customers, and Lost customers - - . × Ms Sarika Rathi, Asst. Abstract
Approximate Computing has a vital role in various fields such as microprocessors, processing in digital signal, data analytics, image processing, machine learning, and so on. When speed and accuracy are the main concerns in today’s systems, an error-efficient approximate adder architecture is developed by using a technique called “Adder Optimization”. Approximate Computing is a technique that allows digital circuits to trade off circuit accuracy with performance, which is particularly useful for applications that can tolerate some level of errors. An approximate or subordinate solution is sufficient for the user and is not required to be perfect in every way. Abstract
The problem of groundwater supply in Bankim exists and no proper solution has been found so far. This study is based on the structural data (fractures network) collected from bedrock exposed on the surface and lineament interpreted from satellite imagery of the Bankim Area. The modelling of groundwater flow in these fractured networks was carried out using a theoretical approach based on the geometric characteristics of the fractures. The characterisation of the geometric parameters, the study of network connectivity and the evaluation of suitable groundwater potential zones are done by overlaying the lithological map, geomorphologic map, lineament map and lineament density map, using visual interpretation of a scene from Landsat-8 imagery and Digital Elevation Model extracted from Shuttle Radar Topography Mission. The results show that the major fracturing direction is NW-SE which intersects the NE-SW fractures in the field. About 472 structural elements are identified, ranging in size from 750.6 m to 9054.9 m with an average length of 1821.3 m on the shaded relief images. Most lineament clusters in the northern part of Bankim, between Mbiridjom, Kimisso, Sokolong, Nassaro and Echamba on the one hand and in the south-east, notably in Bankim, Nyakong and Guimbonlo on the other hand. About 11% of the area has good groundwater potential while 18% is moderately good which corresponds to high to moderate lineament densities situated at average altitude of 800 m and about 71% of the area has poor groundwater potential corresponding to low lineament density areas. Abstract
A survey has been carried out in the development of Pelton turbine. It has been observed that hydro power generation is of great importance. The efficiency of Pelton Turbine in effected by improving the material characteristics of the distributor. Design optimization has been persued in the light of smarter materials in the light of smarter materials and capital cost saving. Recent effort is dedicated to optimization of Distributor/Manifold for the Pelton Turbine which is used to maintain pressure on turbine. Most of Distributor/Manifold is heavy and not reliable. Also cost of distributer is high due to bad selection of material for manufacturing which create overhead to the Pelton Turbine making it inefficient. Thus, for the optimization of the turbine it is requires optimization of Distributer/ Manifold where selection of material become very important and ply vital role. A material selection procedure has been obtained, thereby formulating the problem as ‘Optimization of turbine distributor using less thickness material selection’. EARTH TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER
-
Wilson Kumar, Dr. Shobhit Srivastava
Abstract
The focus of this study is on how well Earth Tube Heat Exchangers work in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. ETHE may be used for either heating or cooling by using the "nearly constant" temperature of the ground. The "near-constant" ground temperature may be used in two ways: first, to cool a building by dissipating excess heat, and second, to warm the building. The exit temperature of the air was determined using ETHE (), which is a function of many transfer units (NTU). An earth-air heat exchanger's efficiency is described by the dimensionless group NTU. It was the cooling test that was used for all studies since ETHE wasn't ready for the input parameter until the spring session. ETHE is a PVC pipe with a nominal diameter of 10.6 cm and a wall thickness of 3 mm. It has a length of 19.22 meters. The location of ETHE is buried two meters underneath. A 125-watt fan forces fresh air through it. The researchers analyzed data from an experimental setup in Bhopal, India, based on the static mean temperature of the air at the intake for the three consecutive summer months of March, April, and May (32.2, 37.8, 40.3 0C) (Central India). When the output velocity is raised and the temperature difference is maximized, the system functions most efficiently. Premavathi.T
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic is a profound concern and an urgent issue that needs to be addressed first and foremost globally. It strongly affects all areas of life from public health, health, education, economy as well as human freedom of movement. The worrying thing is that there is no specific treatment as well as prevention in the early stages. This infectious disease could not be stopped anytime soon. With the rapid spread of the disease, the global health system collapsed because it did not anticipate the danger with its exponential rate of spread. The application of methods to predict the number of infections in machine learning can contribute to limiting the vulnerability to humanity. By predicting the number of cases, we can be better prepared, such as providing more hospital beds, producing more medical equipment, allocating more medical staff to areas with a sharp increase in the number of infections. This solution helps the government to have the necessary references to make the best and fastest decisions. This paper applies two models in machine learning that are Autoregressive-Integrated-Moving-Average (ARIMA) and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) to choose the best solution to the problem [1]. ENHANCEMENT OF SECURITY AND PERFORMANCES OF BLOCKCHAIN BY UPDATING HASHING TECHNIQUES
-
Sangeeta, Dr. Banita
Abstract
The Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a different wireless network architecture that is increasingly being used in commercial, disaster management, law enforcement, and military applications. MANETs are peer-to-peer networks where mobile devices can connect with one another without the use of any external infrastructure by routing messages that are outside of their communication range. Thus, in addition to serving as end devices, nodes also serve as routers. The network's topology is constantly changing as a result of the nodes' mobility and open architecture, which allows them to join or leave the network at any time. In these situations, routing becomes a difficult operation because it must take into account the resource limitations of mobile devices. Despite maintaining a route to every destination and having minimal latency, proactive routing techniques, according to an examination of these protocols, suffer from substantial routing overheads and are unable to keep up with the dynamic topology in a large-scale network. Comparatively speaking, reactive routing technologies offer lower routing costs, better throughput, and higher packet delivery rates. In comparison to proactive routing protocols, reactive routing techniques are appropriate for the majority of applications. Reactive routing protocols with a large user base include the Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol and the Destination Sequence Routing (DSR) protocol. A node is labeled a malicious node and is not allowed to participate in the routing process if its trust value is below the threshold. Although this method uses fewer resources, it is time-consuming, difficult to define the threshold value, and less dependable. The employment of cryptographic methods involving symmetric and asymmetric cryptography is the second strategy for protecting the routing protocol. Although cryptographic techniques offer improved security, they need a lot of processing resources. Abstract
This research was aimed at analysing the effect of the volume of the air intake on the Indicated power of a single-acting reciprocating compressor. In order to achieve this, an in-house single–acting reciprocating compressor, whose prime mover rating is a 1.5 hp electric motor running at the speed of 2100 r.p.m, with a volume of 2.0 m3/min of air, an intake pressure of 1.0 bars and a discharge pressure of 5.0 bars was used. Thermodynamic concepts were employed to analyse the consequence of the volume of air intake per minute on the mass of air delivered, the delivery temperature at the end of compression, the indicated work, and hence, the overall influence on the indicated power. The results show that, as the volume of air increases, there is a corresponding increase in the mass of air delivered by the compressor, leading to an increase in the indicated work, hence an increase in the indicated power. With a volume air intake of 2.0 m3/min, the mass of air delivered was 2.37 kg/min, a delivery temperature of 526.52K, and an indicated work of 337.02 kJ/min with an indicated power of 5.62 kW. Further analyses were carried out to obtain values that would represent the relationship between the various parameters and each of their reactions to the overall consequence on the indicated power for four different volumes of air intake. Ekong. Godwin I
Abstract
An axial flow compressor is under investigation and an in-house axial compressor is designed for this study. Therefore, the analysis and the effect of pressure ratio on the compression work done by an axial compressor suitable for understanding the aerodynamics activities in an aero-engine is presented. The axial compressor is designed and adapted in such a way that the air intake unit and the compression unit carried out work simultaneously thereby minimizing delayed time and enhancing pressure analysis. The key principal unit of the compressor namely intake, stator, blade, shaft, and casing are designed for efficient operation, ease of assembly, and disassembly. The pressure ratio of the compressor, the outlet temperature, and the compression work done was detected to be 2 bars, 366.93 K, and 79.32 kJ/kg respectively. The basic results of the effect of pressure ratio increase on the compression work done by the compressor agree with the results in literatures. Proper application of this axial compressor can be ensured by further analyses of increasing the pressure ratio to ascertain the effect on the work done. The axial compressor used in this study is feasible for the aerodynamic study of the essence of an axial flow compressor in an aero-engine. Abstract
The Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) is the provision of educational money assistance that is expected for children aged 6-21 years who come from underprivileged families. The government makes the necessary instruction strategy for the nine-year compulsory education period. However, the insignificant regional economy often makes them want to work before completing nine years of basic education. Gaga II Public Elementary School in Pakuhaji District is one of the schools where the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) has been implemented. However, the school understands that it is still difficult to determine which students are eligible for the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). This problem is due to the absence of weighting criteria that have not been considered, making it difficult to determine the beneficiaries of the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). The Decision Support System (DSS) was built to assist in determining the weight of each criterion and provide alternative decisions for the recipients of the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). Then because there is no weighting of criteria at SD Negeri Gaga II, Pakuhaji District, the author uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method using 6 criteria, namely KIP / KKS / PKH / SKTM, Student Active Status, Child Status, Parental Work, Parent's Income , Parental Dependents and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method for positioning systems, this technique was chosen on the grounds that it was considered suitable to choose the best option from various other alternative options, as well as to overcome the multitrend of existing criteria and use 5 alternative student data. Based on the results of calculations using the AHP and SAW methods, Komalasari students (A4) became the priority with the highest score of 0.9409. Improving the Performance of Wireless Sensor Networks over Congestions and Transmission Errors by Cluster Based Filtering
-
Anusha A, M Ramasamy, Kuchinad Vaishak, R.Geetha
Abstract
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are becoming increasingly popular with the advent of the Internet of things (IoT). Various real-world applications of WSNs such as in smart grids, smart farming and smart health would require a potential deployment of thousands or maybe hundreds of thousands of sensor nodes/actuators. To ensure proper working order and network efficiency of such a network of sensor nodes, an effective WSN management system has to be integrated. This difficulty in management increases as the WSN becomes larger. Software Defined Networking (SDN) provides a promising solution in flexible management WSNs by allowing the separation of the control logic from the sensor nodes/actuators. The advantage with this SDN-based management in WSNs is that it enables centralized control of the entire WSN making it simpler to deploy network-wide management protocols and applications on demand. This paper highlights some of the recent work on traditional WSN management in brief and reviews SDN-based management techniques for WSNs in greater detail while drawing attention to the advantages that SDN brings to traditional WSN management. This paper also investigates open research challenges in coming up with mechanisms for flexible and easier SDN-based WSN configuration and management. The methodology of the proposed work can be explained as follows: first: distributing nodes randomly; second: Applying the K-mean cluster to choose to select the optimum position of the head cluster node; third: connecting the network using LEACH protocol. Moreover. In this work, SDN with a Gaussian filter is proposed to control the network and minimize data error. It is possible to achieve that by adding buffer memory for each node to store data. The data transmission process is controlled by SDN, and a Gaussian filter is applied before transmitting data to minimize error data.
