ELECTROCHEMICAL BIOSENSORS AND TRANSDERMAL DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM AS AN APPROACH TO DIAGNOSE AND TREAT HYPERTENSIVE HEART DISEASE- A REVIEW
-Nilakshi Mazumder, Diksha Gupta, Minika Chetry and Shilpa Sivashankar
Abstract
Developing countries are in immense need of portable and easy-to-use diagnostic tools because of the lack of access to sophisticated diagnostic centres in the villages and underdeveloped areas. Hypertensive Heart Disease is a serious health ailment, which results in various cardiac disorders, stroke and other severe cases that may result in the damage of the kidney, brain, liver, thereby, causing multiple organ damage. A few biomarkers related to the Hypertensive Heart Disease are easily found in the blood and urine. The detection techniques used at present are expensive, and detect the prevalence of the disease only after the occurrence of a few signs and symptoms. We thereby, present a review on biosensors that would be cost-effective for detection of the disease. Electrochemical biosensors detect the concentrations of the biomarkers that are present in the biological fluids to confirm the prevalence of the disease. Once the biomarker concentrations cross the threshold value, the disease is confirmed, which then needs to be treated. The treatment for the disease could employ Transdermal Drug Delivery System, which serves to be one of the most convenient methods of drug administration. We hence present a review of Electrochemical Biosensors that could detect Hypertensive Heart Disease and the Transdermal Drug Delivery System, which could be used for the treatment of the disease. Production of bioethanol by hydrolysis and alcoholic fermentation of sugar present in the wood: Case of Fraké
- Boniface EFON1, Paul Fabrice NGUEMA, Denis NTAMACK, AnicetRodrigue NGANDJON KAYE
Abstract
Bioethanol is one of the most promising and friendly alternatives of our environment to fossil fuels, which is produced from renewable energy sources. Although the current fuel ethanol is generated from edible sources (sugar and starched plants), the lignocellulosic biomass (LB) because of its potential, has attracted the attention of users from Central African countries who have a huge potential in trees. Fraké is one of those tropical tree species from the Combretaceae family that overloads the Congo Basin. Obtaining bioethanol by recovering Fraké wood waste was done by anaerobic fermentation process using the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain. The results achieved showed a polysaccharide rate of 55.1%; a extractable rate of 24.7%; the percentage of polysaccharide conversion was 4.6%; the analysis of the ethanol obtained gave the values of boiling point (79 ° C), the density (0.82 g / ml) as well as the relative density (0.82). These results show that waste from Fraké is a lignocellulosic biomass with little wood which takes an interesting energy benefit because of its high level of polysaccharides which can be hydrolysed to produce bioethanol, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa where the access to energy still remaining at a very low rate. Soil Interaction Effect OnRc Building With Different Types Of Foundations
- Ms. Priyanka T.Raut,Dr.Tushar G.Shende 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V6I1P11
Abstract
The process in which the response of the soil influences the motion of the structure and response of the structure influences the motion of the soil is known as Soil- Structure Interaction (SSI).The social economic damages caused by an earth quake depend to a great extent on the features of the strong ground motions, these motions reflect primarily from factors such as source characteristics, propagation wave path and local site conditions. In the normal design practice all will consider building frame as a fixed base but in actual case the flexible nature of soil allows the foundation for movement. Due to this the stiffness of the building frame get decreases thus increase in the natural time period of the structure and thus the overall response gets changed. Hence the present thesis work deals with the response of the building frame with Isolated and raft foundation under soil flexibility due to seismic behavior. - Thamir Hassan Atyia 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V6I1P12
Abstract
Differential equations describing motor’s dynamic performance are considered in the development of transfer function equations and their Laplace transforms obtained for additional investigation. For the sake of reliability, typical data for two DC Motor modelsare incorporated within Matlab/Simulink program to demonstrate the elementary time domain performance of the system. A lead lag compensator applied as control method to control the speed of DC Motor. The nonlinear programming optimization algorithm “fmincon; computes a constrained minimum of an objective function of a number of variables starting at a preliminary estimate” used in the optimization routine to reach finest locations for the added pole and zero to attain the optimal parameters for the designed lead lag compensator. A standard test step signal used as a desired input speed to study the effectiveness of the proposed controller based on the performance of the system. In order to validate the controller tracking for speed variation a reference signal with unit step speed changes are included in the simulation studies and the obtained results as the Performance of Optimized Lead Lag compensator for speed changes tracking are presented in figures and tables. Matlab and Simulink are used to carry out the simulation runs and the achieved results were scrutinized and discussed then conclusions deduced that virtuous outcomes reached with the optimal controller’s parameters.
