Concavity and point of inflection of a streamline function and potential function- Souradeep Hazra
Abstract
This paper is based on the concavity andpoint of inflection of a streamline function and potential function. Though the streamline and potential function is orthogonal to each other but they must have concavity and must be having a point of inflection. The inequalities and their proof will give the concavity and the point of inflection of the streamline function and potential function. By this research work we can determine the concavity of the imaginary streamline and potential line of a given velocity vector and can relate it to the propagation of aerofoil in air. A Study of Sustainable Development for Effective Public Transport System
- Arivalagan.S
Abstract
An effective and efficient road transport system requires regular road maintenance. Road transportation facilitates the movement of people, goods and services in all sectors of the economy, including tourism, mining, trade, health, education and agriculture, among others.A growing concern for public transit is its inability to shift passenger’s mode from private to public transport. In order to overcome this problem, a more developed feeder bus network and matched schedules will play important roles. The present research aims to review some of the studies performed on Feeder Bus Network Design and Scheduling Problem (FNDSP) based on three distinctive parts of the FNDSP setup, namely, problem description, problem characteristics, and solution approaches. The problems consist of different Sub problems including data preparation, feeder bus network design, route generation, and feeder bus scheduling. Subsequently, descriptive analysis and classification of previous works are presented to highlight the main characteristics and solution methods. Finally, some of the issues and trends for future research are identified. This research is targeted at dealing with the FNDSP to exhibit strategic and tactical goals and also contributes to the unification of the field which might be a useful complement to the few existing reviews. Innovative Artificial Neural Networks Methodological Advances in ICT Fraud Detection using Bi-Directional ANN- Vijayalakshmi Pasupathy,Yamunadevi.S
Abstract
Arrangement is one of the data mining issues accepting tremendous thought in the database network. Artificial Neural Network systems (ANNs) have been effectively connected in an extensive variety of machine learning applications, they are anyway regularly viewed as secret elements, i.e., their expectations can't be clarified. Neural systems have risen as cutting edge information mining devices in situations where different procedures may not create attractive prescient models. As the term suggests, neural systems have a naturally roused demonstrating ability, yet are basically factual displaying apparatuses. In this paper, the nuts and bolts of neural system demonstrating, some particular applications, and the way toward actualizing a Bi-directional neural system venture has been proposed. yet in addition protect displaying exactness well. Comparative Study and Performance Analysis between a Metal Spinner and 3D Printed Spinner in a Vortex Tube- Adithya Venkatesh, Niranjhani Sri M, Priyanka B, Sri Vigneesh R
Abstract
This paper intends to compare the performance parameters of a vortex tube setup having spinners made of two materials – Aluminum and PLA. The PLA spinner has been 3D printed using Prusa i3setup. The dimensions and design has been made keeping in mind that our setup is a counter flow vortex tube. The energy efficiency ratio was arrived at and compared. Energy Saving by Direct Utilization of Solar Energy for Management and Control of Power Supply- Jagveer Kumar, Vivek Yadav
Abstract
A supply from renewable energy source is need to be directly utilized for its maximum power extraction. A system of management and control of power supplies from renewable (solar) and conventional (mains) energy sources is proposed, where both supplies are managed in such a way that supply from solar is used to control the supply from mains in an inversely proportional manner so that resultant additive output from both sources should be remain balanced in order to draw maximum power from solar. A natural deviation in solar energy is utilized to alter the mains supply by using microcontroller based control unit and remaining supply after alteration is compensated again from solar energy. The resultant additive supply from both sources keeps the balanced physical output from electrical load. This supply management technique of controlling one supply using another is a way towards energy saving by direct utilization of solar energy. Design Of Vortex Tube And Analysis Of Its Flow Characteristics- Maheswaran A, Purusothaman S, Shravanth Bharadwaj C
Abstract
Rankque Hitsh Vortex tube takes in compressed gas and produces cold gas. The major reasons attributed to this drop in temperature are sudden expansion, centrifugal effect, secondary circulation, friction. We have fabricated a vortex tube which uses air as working fluid and produces cooling effect. The flow characteristics such as temperature, pressure, discharge, mass flow rate, velocity etc. were measured. Our observations were tabulated and plotted. The values were obtained for input pressure such as 7-6bar, 6-5bar, 5-4 bar and 3-4bar. The vortex tube is used as cooling equipment in CNC machines, spot cooling applications etc. Since no moving parts are involved, this system requires less maintenance. Overall this paper intends to focus broadly on two aspects-geometrical characteristics of the vortex tube and thermophysical parameters involved. Extraction of Lesions and Microcalcifications from Mammograms of Breast Images: A survey- Abhay Goyal
Abstract
Images taken from different scans have always been a method of detection and evaluation of different disease in the field of medicine. The paper presents an array of enhancement methods which can be applied to mammographic images. The paper concentrates on image enhancement techniques and refinement of regions of concern. When the analysis of CT-scan or an MRI is carried out by a radiologist, it is the clarity of the image which plays a major role in the process of detection, a blurry or a grey scale image will not only obstruct the ROC but will also not allow us to extent of disease spread. The paper presents numerous ways of image enhancement techniques to choose from and conveys that there are things that can be done to detect breast cancer at an early stage to save lives. Comparative Evaluation of Steel and Composite Side Impact Beams at Low Speed Impact- SayaliMankar 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I5P10
Abstract
Side impact beam is important safety device; strengthen the door of car and lower the risk of side collision. It provides passenger protection in crash situation. Based on the available design of steel side impact beam; the glass fibre reinforced composite side impact beam is designed for different cross section and thickness. The parameters like weight reduction, load carrying capacity, energy absorption capacity and reduction in displacement are comparatively studied for composite and steel side impact beams. Numerical analysis is performed using explicit dynamic analysis in ANSYS workbench 14.5. This analysis is done according to testing availability and FMVSS NO. 214. The glass fibre reinforced composite beam is fabricated using hand layup process. Three point bend test at low speed is performed on the steel and composite side impact beams. Numerical and experimental results are validated and indicate that the use of alternative composite material is possible to design side impact beam.
