A New Reliability Growth Model to Estimate the Quality of Software
- Gayathry G, ThirumalaiSelvi R 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P51
Abstract
Software reliability is one of the significant factor in finalizing the quality of software. In recent years, Software Reliability Growth Models(SRGM) are used by number of software development organizations to assess and analyse the software products quality. The estimation of reliability of software can save loss of time and cost. These models are applicable at the final stage of software development. In this paper, we propose a new model for assessing the software products reliability. It first focuses on some of available reliability models and discuss about the problems associated with existing models and arrive at a new reliability model. An insight on Provenance based detection of Packet Drop Attack and Data Forgery
- Rohit D.Hedau, Dr.Pankaj Agrawal 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P52
Abstract
The wireless sensor network (WSN) generates the data and forward it to intermediate nodes ,which finally forwards the data to the base stations(BS). The sensor nodes are prone introduction of malicious nodes by potential adversaries and it is necessary to address confidentiality, integrity and originality of data provenance. Data provenance allows the BS to trace the source and the forwarding path of an individual data packet. This work presents a brief survey on node level data provenance (which encodes history of data at each node) and the different techniques in WSN like in-packet-bloom filter, arithmetic coding and dictionary based provenance that make use of a light weight provenance scheme for detecting data forgery and packet drop attack. - Sheetal Kadu, Dr.Pankaj Agrawal 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P53
Abstract
Wireless sensor networks are being used in numerous of application in wide range of environments. They are small in size and often operate on batteries. Any WSN can be assessed on the basis of Communication, sensing and computing capability. In this work we present an overview of layered architecture of wireless sensor network protocol stack and focus on the positives of the cross-layer approach. We also go on to review the literature which have presented the usage of the cross layered approach. Performance evaluation of a WSN is still a big issue where plenty of scheme are available which can optimize the performance .We try to present a few guidelines which may help in the development of the optimization techniques. Experimental Investigation On The Performance And Emission Characteristics Of A Single Cylinder Di Diesel Engine Using Mahua Biodiesel, Blends And Diesel On Adding Dee By Varying Number Of Injection Nozzle Holes
- Md Ahmed Pasha, Srinivas Valmiki 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P54
Abstract
Diesel engines have main contribution in air pollution by exhausting gases such as carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen and other harmful gases or components. The formation of these harmful gases can be reduced by the use biodiesel as alternative fuel. This paper aims to present the experimental studies on the performance and emission characteristics of Mahua oil methyl ester (MOME), blends and diesel as a fuel for a single-cylinder direct injection diesel engine. Experiments have been carried out to study the effects of performance characteristics like brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), brake thermal efficiency (BTE), and emissions such as hydrocarbon (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (Co2) oxides of nitrogen (NOx) in a diesel engine by varying number of injectors nozzle holes.Mahua oil methyl ester blends prepared are 20[18%biodiesel+2%DEE+80%diesel],M40[38%biodiesel+2%DEE+60%diesel],M60[58%biodiesel+2%DEE+40%diesel] and 100% biodiesel. Testing is carried out by varying number of holes of nozzle as 2 hole, 3 hole and 4 hole nozzle at constant engine speed 1500rpm.Increasing the number of nozzle holes improves the performance of diesel engine fueled with MOME in terms of increased BTE, reduced emissions like HC, CO, CO2. However, NOx emission increases with increased number of holes. Modeling And Analysis Of High-Speed Pmsg Used In Aircraft Applications
- Hindu M, Anita S 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P55
Abstract
The permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) specification for high speed applications is analysed and a compatible specification is arrived at using analytical design relations. For this application, high-power density above 0.03kW/kg is required. To identify the best topology and to fulfil the given requirements, various design solutions for the PMSG are taken into account. This contains various six-phase winding configurations to minimize losses or weight. Moreover, a possible magnet and various sleeve materials are taken into account in order to ensure mechanical stability. A high-speed permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) with a continuous power of 5 kW as a turbo generator for the usage in aircrafts is designed for varied specifications to obtain less weight and smaller size. The machine is modeled using CATIA and analyzed using ANSYS software to check suitability of the selected specifications. - Chandra Shekhar Singh, Ritesh Kumar Rai, Nitin Tyagi 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P57
Abstract
Pyrolysis of waste plastics yields oil whose characteristics is comparable with the diesel fuel and could be replaced with fossil fuel with little bit modification. The production of plastic oil can also reduce the problem of plastic waste which is now big problem in India. The paper presents a general trend in emission characteristics of the plastic oil in diesel engine. The emission characteristics of the diesel engine under the plastic fuel and blend are showing acceptable condition and could be used in diesel engine in pure form. Abstract
The plasma technology is one of the most promising technology which is emerging in this new era. In India most of the power and electricity is generated from the thermal power plants and coal is the main solid fuel which is used in this process. This paper focuses on the study and approach of pulverized coal combustion by the use of plasma fuel system(PFS) to increase the efficiency of the flame inside the boiler in thermal power plant and reduce harmful emissions from of all types coal (peat, bituminous, anthracite and their mixture etc.). Abstract
Nowadays worlds major health and injury prevention problem is road accidents. According to World Health Organization (WHO), more than one million children are killed in road accidents in every year, across the world. The motivation behind this project is to make a raspberrypi based passenger car that makes the passengers journey even saferand more secure. This project handles the road discipline such as speed control in specific areas and Horn control in horn prohibited zones. The features involved in this proposed system are Vehicle speed control in school zone, bridges, cities, highways and suburbs. Horn control of vehicle is also included for No honking zones such as hospitals, schools, public libraries and courts. Alcohol detector is also there to prevent drunken driving. Abstract
As we are going to face energy crisis in next few decades we better hurry and search for new energy resources that can fulfil our needs for power and help us to sustain in future energy crisis. Hybrid vehicles are one of the ways that can help us to achieve that. Using hybrid vehicles we can reduce the consumption of gasoline fuels and also the emission level of hybrid vehicles are less that will reduce the impact on the environment. In future hybrid vehicles look like a promising way to sustain in fuel crisis. Many subsidies are given away by governments for users of the HEV to increase the number and increase the awareness about the HEVs in people. A compact hybrid two wheeler (hybrid city commuter) will surely help to commute mid-range distances in cities by avoiding traffic as well as reducing the use of petroleum fuels. We have to look after how to maximize the use of the HEV to help ourselves and to save the environment.
