- Manoj Kumar S. H, Chetan Kumar G.S 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P41
Abstract
Steganography is defined as the study of invisible communication. Steganography usually deals with the ways of hiding the existence of the communicated data in such a way that it remains confidential. It maintains secrecy between two communicating parties. In image steganography, secrecy is achieved by embedding data into cover image and generating a stego-image. There are different types of steganography techniques each have their strengths and weaknesses. In this paper, we review the different security and data hiding techniques that are used to implement a steganography such as LSB, ISB, MLSB etc. Keyword: Steganography, data security, Communication, Image Steganography, Stego-Key. × Manoj Kumar S. - Nutan.G.Lonare, Radharaman Shaa 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P42
Abstract
The oscillating buoy wave energy converter which includes output power, annual electricity production and energy conversion efficiency. It is helpful to the performance test of the device and contributes to the dispatch control of the complex power and the study of the stability of the local power grid. To derive the prediction models, it is necessary to analyze the force on the buoy and the heaving motion. On this basis the torque and rotating speed models are given. Then the output power, annual electricity production and energy conversion efficiency models are built. Wave data are imported into the models to be simulated with MATLAB and the predicted values are obtained. Finally, the model of the wave energy converter integrated into power grid is built with Simulink and the results of the simulation verify the correctness of the previous models Keyword: Oscillating buoy wave energy converter; prediction model; output power; annual electricity production; energy conversion efficiency. × Nutan.G.Lonare, Radharaman Shaa Efficient Electrical Power Improvement by Oscillating Buoy Wave Energy Converter Volume 4 - Issue 3 (251- 254) - May- June 2018, International Journal of Engineering and Techniques (IJET),ISSN:2395-1303 , www.ijetjournal.org × |

Single Input Multi Factor User Authentication Protocol for Smartphone
- Prajakta R. Mali, Vaishali Londhe 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P48
Abstract
Smart phones are increasingly becoming a tool for ubiquitous access to a number of services including but not limited to e-commerce and home banking, and are more and more used for sensitive data storage. If on the one hand this makes the smartphone a powerful tool in our private and professional life, on the other it has brought about a series of new challenging security and privacy threats and raised the need to protect users and their data through new secure authentication protocols. In this article, we illustrate how the security level of a human authentication system increases from traditional systems based on the use of passwords or badges to modern systems based on biometrics. We have moved a step forward by conceiving an authentication protocol based on the combined recognition of human face, voice and smartphone fingerprint. Thanks to image processing techniques, both the distinctive characteristics of the face, voice and of the device that captured the face image can be extracted from a single video frame and used for a triple check of user identity. The fast-technological development of smartphones, allows performing sophisticated operations on the device itself. In the edge computing perspective, the burden of biometric recognition and source camera identification can be moved on the end user side. Abstract
Plastics are user friendly but not eco-friendly as they are non-biodegradable. Generally, it isdisposed by way of land filling or incineration of materials which are hazardous. The better binding propertyof plastics in its molten state has helped in finding out a method of safe disposal of waste plastics, by usingthem in road laying.Modified Bitumen is one of the important construction materials for flexible pavements. Use of plastic wasteand Crumb Rubber i.e. the rubber obtained from the waste tyres of vehicles, in the construction offlexible pavement is gaining importance. It is also worth mentioning that, the modifier raw-material has beensourced from disposed waste plastic and crumb rubber. This not only allows us to collect modifier raw-material at low cost, but also provides a solution towards ecological menace posed by increased use ofplastics (non-biodegradable).In the present study, an attempt has been made to use waste plastic andCrumb Rubber. Analysis Of Road Accidents On Nh 4 From Walaja Tollgate To Poonamallee On The Year Of 2015 & 2016
- M.Dinesh 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P50
Abstract
The main aim of this paper is to analyze the road accidents from Walaja tollgate to Poonamallee. Analysis shows that the distribution of road accidental deaths and injuries in India varies according to age, gender, month and time. Age group 30-59 years is the most vulnerable population group, though males face higher level of fatalities and injuries than their female counterparts. In general, while in many developed and developing countries including China, road safety situation is generally improving, India faces a worsening situation. Without increased efforts and new initiatives, the total number of road traffic deaths in India is likely to cross the mark of 250,000 by the year 2025. There is thus an urgent need to recognize the worsening situation in road deaths and injuries and to take appropriate action. With the support and cooperation of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Kanchipuram Division, we conducted detailed investigation of accidents occurring on the National Highway 4 over a 110 km stretch. The primary objective was to collect and analyze NH-4 based traffic crash data to begin to create a sound basis for decision making for improving safety on Indias roadways.A secondary objective was to establish a standardized methodology using economical tools for collecting and analyzing crash data, specific to Indian roads. The collected accident data was categorized first by single or multiple vehicle crash and next by accident type based on the first accident event. The data was then analysed identify accident (crash-type, location-time), vehicle (vehicle-type , pre-crash condition) , occupants and other contributing factors , and environmental factors associated with injury severity .Findings show that front-to-rear collisions, mainly involving trucks and buses, caused due to slowing down, stopping, breaking down or overtaking.
