Abstract
With the advancement in image processing, object detection has been one of the interesting topics due to its spectrum of applications in real time. For past 10 years Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) has rapidly grown. Recently not only luxury cars but some entry level cars are equipped with ADAS applications, such as Automated Emergency Braking System (AEBS).ADAS systems are used for assisting the drivers by providing advice and warnings when necessary.Visual recognition tasks, such as image classification, localization, and detection, are the core building blocks of many of these applications, and recent developments in Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have led to outstanding performance in these state-of-the-art visual recognition tasks and systems. This application is for multiple object detection and classification in a given video based on Open Computer Vision (OpenCV) libraries. The application also uses MobileNet architecture, SSD (Single Shot Detectors) framework and Caffe (Convolutional Architecture for Fast Feature Embedding) model to get the predictions. The system is used as one of the features in ADAS system for collision avoidance by detecting and classifying the objects such as vehicles and pedestrian. Effect Of Exhaust Gas Recirculation On Performance And Emission Charecteristics Of Corn Oil Methyl Ester Blended Fuel C.I. Engine
- Srinivas V 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P32
Abstract
Petroleum diesel consumption increases leads to depleting the diesel fuel and increasing the environmental pollution. One of the alternatives is producing a biodiesel to meet the energy demand. Corn oil methyl ester (COME) is produced by transesterification process and prepared the blends (B0, B20, B40, B60 B100) with diesel to compare the Engine performance and Emission characteristics with and without exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) at different loads. The result shows the brake thermal efficiency (BTE) and emissions of B20 is almost nearer to diesel. The BTE with EGR is higher than the BTE without EGR for all the blends. The BSFC and EGT with EGR is lower than values obtained without EGR for all the blends. Emissions of CO and HC of engine for all blends are slightly increased, while NOx emissions are found to get decreased with use of EGR. The better engine characteristics were obtained with use of EGR compare to without use of EGR. IT Infrastructure Setup using Cloud Services
- Swapnil K. Gajbhiye, Manoj S. Chaudhari 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P33
Abstract
Cloud Computing is emerging today as a commercial infrastructure that eliminates the need for maintaining expensive computing hardware. Through the use of virtualization, clouds promise to address with the same shared set of physical resources a large user base with different needs. Thus, clouds promises to provide a flexible IT architecture, accessible through internet from lightweight portable devices. Cloud computing is a set of IT services that are provided to a customer over a network on a leased basis and with the ability to scale up or down their service requirements. Usually Cloud Computing services are delivered by a third party provider who owns the infrastructure. Many industries, such as banking, healthcare and education are moving towards the cloud due to the efficiency of services provided by the pay-per-use pattern based on the resources such as processing power used, transactions carried out, bandwidth consumed, data transferred, or storage space occupied etc. In a cloud computing environment, the entire data resides over a set of networked resources, enabling the data to be accessed through virtual machines. In this work we present an evaluation of the usefulness of the current cloud computing services for infrastructure setup. We analyze the performance of the Amazon EC2 platform. We also compare using long-term traces the performance characteristics and cost models of clouds with those of other platforms. We will provide the guideline for using cloud services for setting up any IT infrastructure on cloud. This research paper also analyzes the key research challenges present in cloud computing and offers best practices to service providers as well as enterprises hoping to leverage cloud service to improve their bottom line in this severe economic climate. - Shaown bhowmik, R.K Jain 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P34
Abstract
An enormous amount of municipal solid waste is produced by per person daily in India. Due to the rapid growth of human population these wastes are also increasing day by day and creating pollution in the environment. These wastes may vary from organic, inorganic or both in nature and releases toxic gases like dioxins, furans, mercury, polychlorinated biphenyls etc. The thermal plasma technology is one of the efforts which can be used for the treatment of municipal solid waste and helps in the production of syngas in an ecofriendly manner. In this way the plasma technology can also help in lowering down the emission of greenhouse gases from the environment and make it a safe place for living. - D.Jyothi Preshiya, Dr.C.D.Suriyakala 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P35
Abstract
Delay/Disruption Tolerant Network is established in the extreme and challenged environments. One of the main characteristics of this type of network is intermittent connections i.e, no end to end path exists all the time. The major challenging task in this kind of network is its limited resources. Since most of the resources of each node is used for the data delivery of other nodes. In this paper we designed a routing protocol which balances the nodes resource Energy and the Quality of the Service. A Perception of an Eco friendly Furnace for Environmental Conservation in Foundry Industries
- R. K. Jain 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P36
Abstract
The large amount of flue gases produced by cast iron foundries using Coke fired cupolas for melting, contains injurious elements like SO2, CO2, CO, H2S, NOx, SPM etc. which damages the environment and are dangerous to all living beings. The emissions of SO2, CO2, CO, H2S, suspended particles, dust and grit have not been found within the pollution control limit as set down by central pollution control board of India. Therefore all the foundries in Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ) have been ordered to be closed down by a recent order of the Honourable Supreme Court of India. It is not only the problem of India but is a global one. As per instructions of Honble Supreme Court of India the cleaner technology should be used instead of cupola furnace. The author conducted a series of experimental investigations on the rotary furnace, installed at industries at Agra. These experimental investigations on the rotary furnace revealed that by reducing rpm from 2 to 1 not only the fuel consumption and emission levels were drastically reduced but its performance was also significantly improved. - Kumuda T S, Chetan Kumar G.S 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P37
Abstract
As a symptom of progressively famous web-based social networking, cyberbullying has developed as a major issue burdening kids, youths and youthful grown-ups. Machine learning strategies make programmed identification of harassing messages in online networking conceivable; what's more, this could build a sound and safe online networking condition. In this significant research zone, one basic issue is hearty what's more, discriminative numerical portrayal learning of instant messages. In this paper, we propose another portrayal learning technique to handle this issue. Our technique named semantic-upgraded underestimated denoising auto-encoder (smSDA) is produced through semantic augmentation of the prevalent profound learning model stacked denoising autoencoder (SDA). The proposed technique can misuse the shrouded include structure of harassing data and take in a powerful and discriminative portrayal of content. Complete investigations on two open cyberbullying corpora (Twitter and MySpace) are directed, and the outcomes demonstrate that our proposed approaches beat other standard content portrayal learning techniques. Comparison of the performance of Memory Augmented Neural Network Model with Long-Short Term Memory Model
- A.M Chandrashekar, Adarsh L, Bhavana S, Varsha G 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P39
Abstract
A lot of breakthroughs have happened in deep neural networks over a period of time. Traditional gradient-based networks require a lot of data to train and learn. When new data is encountered, the models must inefficiently relearn their parameters to effectively learn the new information without any major interference. Neural Turing Machines (NTMs) which have augmented memory capacities, offer the ability to quickly learn and retrieve new information, and hence can potentially remove the disadvantages of conventional models. Here, we demonstrate the ability of a memory-augmented neural network to rapidly assimilate new data, and use this data to make accurate predictions after only a few samples(One-shot). We also introduce a new method for accessing an external memory that focuses on memory content(content-based addressing), unlike previous methods that additionally use memory location based focusing mechanisms. We have also compared accuracy and learning loss of the MANN (Memory Augmented Neural Networks) with LSTM (Long-Short Term Memory) to show which model is a better choice. Analysis of UPQC for Voltage Sag Compensation in Wind Farms to Weak Grid Connections
- Shishir.S.Pande, Radharaman Shaha 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I3P40
Abstract
Wind Farms (WF) employing squirrel cage Induction generator (SCIG) directly connected to the grid; represent a large percentage of the wind energy conversion systems around the world. In facilities with moderated power generation, the WF is connected through medium voltage (MV) distribution headlines. In this scheme, the power generated is comparable to the transport capacity of the grid. This case is known as Wind Farm to Weak Grid Connection, and its main problem is the poor voltage regulation at the point of common coupling (PCC). Thus, the combination of weak grids, wind power fluctuation and system load changes produce disturbances in the PCC voltage, worsening the Power Quality and WF stability. This situation can be improved using control methods at generator level, or compensation techniques at PCC. In case of wind farms based on SCIG directly connected to the grid, is necessary to employ the last alternative. Custom power devices technology (CUPS) results are very useful for this kind of application. In this paper is proposed a compensation strategy based on a particular CUPS device, the Unified Power Quality Compensator (UPQC). A customized internal control scheme of the UPQC device was developed to regulate the voltage in the WF terminals, and to mitigate voltage fluctuations at grid side. The internal control strategy is based on the management of active and reactive power in the series and shunt converters of the UPQC, and the exchange of power between converters through UPQC DC Link. This approach increases the compensation capability of the UPQC with respect to other custom strategies that use reactive power only. MATLAB/Simulink Simulations results show the effectiveness of the proposed compensation strategy for the enhancement of Power Quality and Wind Farm stability.
