- Dr.N.M Jothi Swaroopan , Dr.T. Magesh, A.Vinith, N.Yuvaraj, C.Naveen 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P81
Abstract
Multilevel inverters are generally used for high power and high voltage applications with reduced amount of harmonic content in its output voltage. Multilevel inverter with increasing number of levels significantly reduces the Total harmonic distortion. The reduced harmonic content in the output voltage is done using multicarrier PWM techniques. A five-level cascaded multilevel inverter with Multi-carrier PWM technique is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The total harmonic distortion of the output voltage is validated. Also the power flow from the inverter to the grid is validated after incorporating grid integration conditions and it is analyzed with LCL-Filter. A single-phase grid connected Cascaded Multi-level inverter is implemented to feed the grid by setting the reactive power to zero in MATLAB/SIMULINK. - Dr. Anuj Kumar Purwar 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P82
Abstract
Solid waste has been created since the start of human progress. Individual creates and throws away huge quantity of solid substances consistently because of quick increment in generation and utilization. In South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), there has been huge increment in the creation of urban solid waste. Be that as it may, there is an enormous potential for decreasing cost in the methods of disposing MSW. Distinctive waste management techniques can possibly decrease the amount of MSW disposed in landfill. In present study field characterization of MSW for 40 locations/ areas as a representative of the selected 40 wards in SDMC has been done. A feasibility analysis has been done on a community based box type compost plant of 2 ton /day capacity and plant has been design and proposed to treat generated solid waste for studied areas of SDMC. It has been computed, if total municipal solid waste is treated in community based decentralized plants then total compost produces about 126 tons for all 40 selected locations. Further it generates revenue of about Rs. 123412 in total for all studied wards. It has been also calculated, if required compost plants have been installed in each ward then one time collection not more than INR 62.00/person is required to install all required number of compost plants in each ward. To operate these compost plants, monthly contribution of about INR 10.00/ person is required. Abstract
With the favour of several websites, the stakeholders can share their photos and check-in records during their trips. In the perception of several users historical mobility records in several websites by finding travel experiences to facilitate trip planning. While planning a trip, the stakeholders always have explicit preferences regarding the trips. Instead of restricting users to limited query options such as locations, activities, or time periods, this paper considers arbitrary text descriptions as keywords about personalized requirements. Even though, a different and representative set of recommended travel routes is needed. To meet the need for automatic trip organization, the system claim that more features of Places of Interest (POIs) should be extracted. Therefore, this paper proposes about keyword based representative travel route recommendation using Depth First Search Algorithm and Genetic Algorithm. Based on the precision value top ten keywords are extracted and possible routes for the locations are identified using Depth First Search Algorithm. Optimal solution for the routes will be generated using Genetic Algorithm. To provide benefiting query results, this paper proposes genetic algorithm with improved performance. - Anandakumar.S, Augustine.P, Hari Prasath Julien.E, Prakash.T 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P84
Abstract
A solar tree is a structure incorporating solar energy on a single pillar, like a tree trunk. It may be a solar network or a functional power generator. Solar Tree could be the best one for us. We can also use the Technique called “SPIRALLING PHYLLATAXY” to improve the efficiency of the plant. It is much better than traditional solar PV system in area point of view and also more efficient. This solar tree is connected to an inverter that will enable the inversion of a DC power source to an AC power source that will be either used to supply a load or connected directly to the utility grid. The controller will be implemented using arduino. This programmed arduino will be able to automatically control the whole power system operation without the need of any user intervention. Abstract
Intelligent mirrors, which continue the works today and will take its place in the future technology, provide both mirror and computer aided information services to its users. Thanks to the microcontroller cards on board, these systems, which can connect to the internet and take data from the internet, can show this information on the places located on the mirror. In the scope of the study, the developed intelligent mirror system includes the weather information, time and location information, current event information, user information, and camera image taken from web services using Raspberry Pi 3 microcontroller card. Some equipment can be controlled by voice commands via the microphone on the smart mirror. A smart mirror displays applications so that you can check the weather, local news, etc. while you are getting ready in the morning. The mirror will do the thinking for the user in a smart way. This smart mirror aims to reduce and possibly eliminate the need for the user to make time in their daily morning or nightly routine to check their PC, tablet, or smartphone for the information they need. The making of this smart mirror includes a micro-controller called Raspberry Pi which will act as a brain of the interactive system. The micro-controller will be powered using python scripts for mirror software as well as personal assistant. For making of this personal assistant an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account is required. Using the AWS, the Alexa function and alexa skills using skill kit will be created. Once the function is setup, the function can be accessed using a command line after the software is installed. An 18’’ LED Monitor will be placed below an acrylic two-way mirror sheet and the model will be placed in a wooden frame. We’ll build a separate personal assistance that will be able to recognize and perform speech to text operations. The personal assistance is named ALEXA. - Dr. N. Shanmugapriya 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P86
Abstract
Hearing defect is becoming more common and may cause a number of reasons. In our everyday life, we do not feel the danger of our ear skills, with the highest seriousness. Generally, two factors can be said to be the primary causes of hearing loss, i.e. the sound and duration of the sound of the sound. This inner ear or damaging exposure to external noise cells (NIHL) may be damaging exposure to the noise exposure rather than the noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) especially for internal and external hair cells.Nowadays many deaf people have been affected. The main complaint of those with hearing loss is the ability to reduce the conversation in a noisy environment. Asking help is a device that receives real time, process and feedback sound signal. In this case, various barriers are applicable, various filter banking techniques, signal processing and echo cancellations. The purpose of this work is to reduce the deafness used by people of all kinds. To implement this using an integrated configuration approach, it is very easy and requires less computation. Recyclotron : Destination to Sell e-junk
- Abhilasha Jha, Suvitha Wilson, Prabhu S. 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P87
Abstract
We live in a world which generates tones of e-Waste every year, and people generating it often are clueless about whom to sell it to and how to sell it. There exist several websites but they do not offer instant cash and act as medium between seller and buyer(like Quickr and OLX) , and the product needs to wait for ages before going to its buyer or sometimes does not get bought at all. In this paper, we present an innovative and fairly effective ways to address the above situation by creating an easy solution of disposal. The paper aims at developing an efficient and coming of age platform to buy and sell e-junk. On one hand, it provides cash instantly to the sellers and on the other, connects to a network of buyers who recycle e-Junk and reuse them to their benefit. Maximum Power Point Tracking of PV System under Partial Shading Condition
- Aswathi L S, Anoop K, Sajina M K 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P88
Abstract
The performance of the photovoltaic panel depends on atmospheric conditions such as temperature, irradiance etc. The conventional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms like Hill climbing, Perturb and Observe (P&O), Incremental Conductance (INC) are simple and efficient techniques to track MPP during uniform irradiance condition. However, under partially shaded conditions (PSC), these conventional algorithms fail to recognize global maximum power point (GMPP) and gets trapped in one of the local maximum power point (LMPP). To effectively track global maximum power point (GMPP) under partially shaded conditions heuristic algorithms like Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) can be used instead of conventional Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms. This paperproposes a simpler fast-converging maximum power point tracking technique (MPP) for Photovoltaic (PV) system under partially shaded condition (PSC) using ACO. Identification of Groundwater Potential Zone in Rural Sub-watershed using RS and GIS
- Velayudha Das M, Poongothai S 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P89
Abstract
Groundwater is a dynamic and replenishment in natural resources, which support all environmental issues. To understand groundwater prospects of an area, integration of different thematic layers is required. An attempt was made to identify groundwater potential zones in the Muktha river (upper Manimuktha) sub-watershed (4C1A2e) of Tamilnadu, India for effective usage of groundwater resource for agricultural and non-agricultural activities and for sustainable groundwater management. Toposheet maps of SOI and IRS 1C satellite imageries are used for preparing various thematic maps viz. geology, geomorphology, slope, land use/cover, lineament density, drainage density, soil map, hydrologic soil groups and runoff. After transforming these thematic layers to raster format, assigned ranks and weightage to the factors according to their influence of groundwater recharge. Based on the groundwater availability a composite groundwater potential map has been generated as high, moderate, less and poor zones of covering 10.86%, 37.93%, 35.11% and 16.10% in the study area respectively. Agricultural oriented artificial groundwater recharging methods are recommended to develop the poor and the less groundwater potential zones.
