- Srinivas V, Abhimanyu R Posangiri 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P51
Abstract
Petroleum based fuels worldwide have not only resulted in the rapid depletion of conventional energy sources, but have also caused severe air pollution. The search for an alternate fuel has led to many findings due to which a wide variety of alternative fuels are available at our disposal now. The existing studies have revealed the use of vegetable oils for engines as an alternative for diesel fuel. However, there is a limitation in using straight vegetable oils in diesel engines due to their high viscosity and low volatility. In the present work, neat mango seed oil is converted into their respective methyl ester through transesterification process. Experiments are conducted using various blends of methyl ester of mango seed oil with diesel in a single cylinder, four stroke vertical and air cooled Kirloskar diesel engine. The experimental results of this study showed that the MEMSO biodiesel has similar characteristics to that of diesel. The brake thermal efficiency, unburned hydrocarbon are observed to be lower in case of MEMSO biodiesel blends than diesel. The CO emission for B20, B40 and B60 are observed to be lower than diesel at full load, whereas for B100 it is higher at all loads. On the other hand, BSFC and NOx of MEMSO biodiesel blends are found to be higher than diesel. From this study, it is concluded that optimized blend is B20 and could be used as a viable alternative fuel in a single cylinder direct injection diesel engine without any modifications. Abstract
The charger plays a very important role within the development of electrical vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electrical vehicles (PHEVs).This thesis focuses on the DC-DC device for prime voltage charger and is split into four chapters. The background associated with EV battery charger is introduced, and therefore the topologies of isolated DCDC device presumably applied in battery charge square measure sketched in Chapter one. Since the EV charger is high voltage high power, the phase-shifted full bridge and LLC converters, that square measure popularly utilized in high power applications, square measure mentioned intimately in Chapter two. The typically thought-about as high efficiency, high power density and high dependability, however their distinguished options are restricted in sure vary of operation. to form full use of the benefits and to avoid the limitation of the phase-shifted full bridge and LLC converters, a completely unique hybrid resonant and PWM device combining resonant LLC half-bridge and section shifted full-bridge topology is projected and is described in Chapter three. The device achieves high potency and true soft switch for operation vary, that is incredibly necessary for prime voltage EV charger application. - P.Anand, P.Arjun, N.Bharath Kumar, K.Gowtham 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P56
Abstract
Smart cities essentially require the state-of-the-art technologies that can provide smart service in various aspects, and robotic systems are one of the key solutions for such requirements. The time taken by an ambulance to reach the accident scene depends a lot on the route, distance and the traffic enroute and these ambulance delays have resulted in deaths of thousands of people. We present a prototype of an emergency flying air ambulance or an ambulance drone which can reach the victims faster than a normal ambulance within precious lifesaving minutes and gives real time condition of the victim by measuring different parameters using different sensors. When a call is given to the emergency number, the emergency operator tracks the location and navigate using GPS. The ambulance drone arrives the scene in no time and real time instructions are provided by the operator using various sensors which is connected to the real time world IOT.The details of the design and development of such drone is presented in this paper. - Surabhi Saxena, Devendra Agarwal 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P57
Abstract
E-Procurement represents a business process of importance, including the ability to articulate requirements that the procurement deals with. A number of larger technology providers are now left to support e-procurement. In this study, we review theories for adoption models at the firm level used in information technology literature and discuss more prominent models. It is vital to recognize the determinants of IT adoption. Accordingly it is essential to know the theoretical models. There are critical reviews in the literature about the comparison of IT adoption models at the various levels, and to the best of our information there are even fewer at the e-procurement level. This review will fill the gap in existing frameworks towards the effective model. - Ms.Annie Isabella, Krishna Teja M, Nikhileswar D, Bhuvanesh R, 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P58
Abstract
Photovoltaic (PV) systems have been developed into mature technology that has been used in specialized applications. Partially shaded condition of photovoltaic system will result in reduction of output power and produces multiple maximum power points (MMPP) in the panel. In this project Single-switch voltage equalizers using multi stacked buck–boost converters are proposed to settle the partial shading issues. The single-switch topology can reduces the number of switches which is proportional to number of PV strings. The proposed system can be derived by integrating CLD filters on buck–boost converters, like SEPIC, Zeta, and CUK etc., Operational analysis based on a simplified equivalent circuit is performed for a SEPIC-based topology. Experimental setup consists of three substrings in a PV panel. Local MPPs were eliminated and maximum power is increased by the equalizer. Abstract
Smart city is another powerful application of IOT generating curiosity among world’s population. Smart surveillance, automated transportation, smarter energy management systems, water distribution, urban security and environmental monitoring all are examples of internet of things applications for smart cities. It’s inevitable for the people to update with the growing technology. And generally people are facing problems on parking vehicles in parking slots in a city. In this study we design a Smart Vehicle Parking Management System (SVPMS) which enables the user to find the nearest parking area and gives availability of parking slots in that respective parking area and allows the user to make a reservation for their vehicle in the parking slots. And it mainly focuses on reducing the time in finding the parking lots. Thus it reduces the fuel consumption which in turn reduces carbon footprints in an atmosphere. - P Pawan, Dr. Kalavathi, Hari Kishan 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I2P60
Abstract
Most of these days, many road accidents are happening due to drunken driving. Drunken drivers will not be in stable condition and so the rash driving is the inconvenience for other road users and it also leads their lives into a great risk for the drunken driver and for others. In this paper, a new system is being developed with IOT which auto locks vehicle engine and sends a message to the nearest police station. The input for the system is from Detection Sensors either from Alcohol Breath or any other mechanism. The controller keeps looking for the output from these sensors. If there are any traces of Alcohol, then the system will stops the Engine and sends a message. The entire idea is going to be simulated in this research process by activating the relay..
