- Nagraj S. Patil, Basavaraj B. Hosamani, Nataraja M., Nagendra 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P1
Abstract
The water supply system is very important aspect on a global level, which is used for supply of water for various useful purposes and without which life seems to be very difficult to be sustained. Hence the supply of pure water has been a major concern from years and is still developing. Recent developments involve the use of software’s for simulating the hydraulic and water quality. Basavana Bagewadi Taluk of Vijayapur district has number of village tanks that to go dry frequently due to scanty rainfall and on many occasions even drinking water is scarce in summer. In order to take care of this extreme drought situation and to provide drinking water facility to the population of villages and to enable assured irrigation, fishery development it is proposed to pump water from Krishna River during a monsoon month to fill a 10 tanks in this area this will help to recharge ground water table in the region by the use of hydrological model i.e., SWAT. This approach significantly saves time and cost and is able not only to determine the suitable locations, but also to determine the best region for construction of rainwater harvesting structures. Design and Development of Solar Roof Top PV Power Systems
- Y. Pradeep Kumar , V.Tejaswitha 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P2
Abstract
The main objective of this project is to design and develop a 100kW solar PV power system in commercial buildings. In most of the countries production and consumption of electricity is expanding. So in this project a system is developed to extract some energy from solar power systems and convert into electricity. Engineering analysis is developed using PV SYST in this solar power system. All components are selected based on commercially available off the-shelf components. A Matlab simulink model is developed for both DC and AC power system and the results are compared with PV Syst model performance. Costing analysis of the solar power plant is performed to identify the sensitivity parameters on levelized cost of energy (LCOE). Hence this project was concluded with an identified future research needs for reducing the LCOE. Keyword: Photovoltaic system (PV Syst), Direct current (DC), Alternating current (AC).× Y. Removal of Congo Red From Dye Wastewater Using Adsorption
- M.RaviKumar , BedewiBilal 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P3
Abstract
The objective of this review discusses removal of Congo red from waste water effluents using various low cost adsorbents, eco-friendly and highly efficient. Dyes and pigments widely utilize in the textiles, paper, plastics, leather, and foodstuff, cosmetic industries as well as natural and artificial fibers to color products. Use of these dyes along with lots of water in textile industries has resulted in the production of polluted and coloured waters being discharged into the environment (nearby land or rivers) without any treatment because the conventional treatment methods are not effective. Congo red one of important dye that found in the waste water have higher solubility in the water about 1 g/30 mL. Therefore, Congo red containing effluents have to be efficiently treated before they are discharged into the water bodies or the environment. Over the past few decades, several processes have been used for the removal of dyes from wastewater such as biological (aerobic and anaerobic), chemical precipitation, coagulation/ flocculation, solvent extraction, membrane filtration, ion exchange, ozonation, electrochemical destruction and adsorption. Adsorption process has simplicity of design, more efficient, easy to operate, insensitivity to toxic substances and cost effective, hence, it has been suggested as a potential alternative to the existing physical / chemical /biological methods for the removal of congo red from industrial effluents or waste water. The variables comprises of equilibrium contact time, particle size, pH of the dye solution, initial concentration, amount of adsorbent, temperature. Hence the present study reviewed for the removal of Congo red from waste water effluents using various low cost adsorbents. - Ajay D. Nagne, Rajesh K. Dhumal, Amol D. Vibhute, Dhananjay B. Nalawade, Karbhari V. Kale, Suresh C. Mehrotra 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P4
Abstract
Land Use Land Cover (LULC) of urban environments covers natural and manmade resource. Because of this mix structured, the spatial and spectral characteristics of a targets and backgrounds are extremely diverse. Due to this problem, detection and the classification of manmade objects is very difficult. A Hyperspectral Remote Sensing can allow us to perform a detailed analysis of the urban area; it uses advanced imaging or non-imaging instruments to produce data with hundreds of spectral bands. These data are more useful for urban region, and by using this we can identify more objects and can generate more classes. Thermal Analysis of Solar Air Heater in Natural Convection
- Shyam Kumar 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P5
Abstract
The study of natural convective heat transfer from horizontal rectangular solar air heater has been studied experimentally. It was found that due to green house effect air gets heated and resulting in the lower in density cause air to rise and flow. This also makes fresh air to come in and thus repetition in the procedure. Several parameters like Nusselt number, Rayleigh Number, Heat transfer rate, and temperature difference was calculated and found in good agreement with the results obtained by several correlations available in the literature. A New Appoach for Excessive-Precision Vehicle Navigation in City Environments Making Use of an Mem’s IMU and Single-Frequency GPS Receiver
- Pravalika , T Vinay Kumar 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P7
Abstract
Traffic problems have mainly resulted from an increase in mobility over the last decades involving an increase in traffic congestion and degradation of environmental conditions. The employment of new systems – namely, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is being considered for their mitigation. ITS offer a high number of applications providing different types of support to the user: usually the driver or the traveler. These may range from “simple” solutions dedicated to comfort (e.g. parking aid, e-toll) or information services (e.g. navigation, Variable Message Signs) to more complex ones such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). One may distinguish pre-crash ADAS (e.g. collision warning, lane warning), post-crash ADAS (e-call) and fully automatic driving systems like Automated Highway Systems (AHS). The complexity is characterized through the maturity level and market distribution. Polymer Electrolyte Films for Solid State Polymer Batteries
- V.Swetha 10.29126/23951303/IJET-V4I1P10
Abstract
Solid polymer electrolyte system films based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) complexed with sodium salt was prepared using solution cast technique. The effect of plasticizer (DMF) on the properties of So-dium ion conducting electrolyte was studied. DC conductivity of the films was measured in the tem-perature range 303–398 K. The electrical conductivity significantly increased with addition of plasticiz-er, which is attributed to the formation of charge transfer complexes. The polymer complexes exhibited Arrhenius type dependence of conductivity with temperature.. The total ionic transport number was evaluated by means of Wagner’s polarization technique .Transport number for Sodium ion is ranged from 0.91 to 0.96 depending on the composition. Electrochemical cells of configuration Na / polymer electrolyte / (I2+C+electrolyte) were fabricated. The open circuit voltage, short circuit current and dis-charge time for plateau region were measured.
