A voluminous survey on Content based image retrieval
- Dr. Ruksar Fatima, Prof. Feroza. D. Mirajkar, Syeda Butool Fatima, Prof. Afreen Fatima
Abstract
The amount of images or the pictorial data is growing day by day with the expansion of internet services. As the network and development of multimedia technologies are becoming more popular, users are not satisfied with the traditional information retrieval techniques. So nowadays the content based image retrieval is becoming a source of exact and fast retrieval. . It is very difficult for the users to retrieve the required images using a operative and efficient mechanism. There are many techniques which are used to retrieve the images depending upon the requirement of different applications. This paper provides an extensive review of various latest research work and methodologies applied in the field of CBIR. Images are retrieved on the basis of automatically derived features such as, texture, shape and color which is generally referred to as Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR). Content based image retrieval is an important research area in image processing, with a vast domain of applications like recognition systems i.e. finger, face, biometrics, medical sciences etc. However, the technology still lacks maturity, and is not yet being used on a significant scale. In the absence of hard evidence on the effectiveness of CBIR techniques in practice, opinion is still sharply divided about their usefulness in handling real-life queries in large and diverse image collections. Abstract
The study focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of a multi-featured food cart as its application on the street to facilitate the sale and marketing of street food to people from the local pedestrian traffic. In particular, the research aimed to design and develop a Multi-featured Food Cart which has its own electrical system; lighting system, convenience outlets, coin operated outlet, sound system, electric stove and an improve structures; foldable and extendable roof and collapsible tables. The acceptability of the Multi-featured Food Cart is evaluated in terms of its aesthetic, functionality, reliability and safety. The results revealed that the design and development of the Multi-featured Food Cart is operational with its electrical features and structural features. Based on the analytical data presented, the result revealed that the Multi-featured Food Cart is highly acceptable in terms of aesthetic, functionality, reliability and safety. In addition, an improvement on some technical field on mechanical methods for better structure is necessary to attain effective implementation of the carts mobility on the community. Study of Geometric Design, hydraulic and hydrology for Highways Using Civil 3D Software- A Case Study
- Anil Kumar K.S
Abstract
Indian road network consists of national highways, state highways, major district roads, other district roads, village roads and having road length of 35lakh km. from past 3 years all the roads are upgrading to, as per traffic requirement. The geometry of the highway is to provide optimum efficiency in traffic Operations with maximum safety at reasonable cost. It is possible to design and construct the pavement of a road in stages, but it is very expensive and rather difficult to improve the geometric elements of a road on late stages. Hence, highway development needs proper planning method. Case study was conducted for Mysore outer ring road of 32.3km .Data collected was then be analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. Analyzed data is presented in tables. The development of effective road transport system is the primary need of any developing country and the upgrading of existing road network system is essential for the developed countries as the capacity of roads in urban and nonurban highways will reach to saturation level with the passage of time, due to increase traffic, ribbon development etc. Hence highway development needs proper planning method. In the present case study, civil 3D software which is now commonly used, has been used for the geometric design and design of drainage systems of various road elements. The possibility of using quantitative models to predict financial failure and its impact on Earnings per Share: A study of a sample of companies listed in the Iraqi Stock Exchange
- Assis. Prof. Dr. Salim Sallal Al-Hisnawi , Assis. Lec.SadikJafar Al-Attabi
Abstract
The study aims to use quantitative models to predict financial failure of the investment companies and to identify the Statistical relationship between financial ratios and EPS. The study used descriptive statistics factors , as well as regression model to analyze data and test the hypotheses. This model contains numeral of independent variables which represent profitably , leverage , liquidity, activity ratios . Based on (8) companies data for three years from (01/01/2010) to (31/12/2012) , the study founded some of Conclusions: There is ability of investment companies to continue , and there is Significant Statistical relationship for profitably ratio( return on investment) , activity ratio (assets turnover) with EPS , as well as positive relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. Performance Enhancement of PV Cooling System - Using VRF Technology
- Bachchu Lal Guptaa
Abstract
From the various techniques that enhances the solar fraction of solar Photovoltaic cooling system VRF technology is most important. Use of VRF technology enhances the solar fraction along with the reduction in the energy consumption and payback period. The solar fraction reaches up to 0.89 for hot and dry climate (Ahmedabad), 0.95 for moderate climate (Bangalore), 0.84 for warm and humid climate (Chennai) and 0.88 for composite climate (Delhi). It is lowest for the warm and humid climate due to highest annual cooling demand and it is highest for the moderate climate because of the lowest annual cooling demand and higher cost of VRF than PTAC. - V. Murali Krishna, R. Swetha
Abstract
Grouping issues in high dimensional information with small number of perceptions are ending up more typical particularly in microarray information. During the most recent two decades, heaps of effective characterization models and highlight choice (FS) calculations have been proposed for higher forecast exactnesses. Be that as it may, the aftereffect of a FS calculation in view of the forecast exactness will be shaky over the varieties in the preparation set, particularly in high dimensional information. This paper proposes another assessment measure Q-measurement that joins the strength of the chose include subset notwithstanding the forecast exactness. At that point we propose the Booster of a FS calculation that lifts the estimation of the Q-measurement of the calculation connected. Exact contemplates in light of engineered information and 14 microarrays informational collections demonstrate that Booster supports the estimation of the Q-measurement as well as additionally the expectation precision of the calculation connected unless the informational index is inherently hard to foresee with the given calculation. A Comparison of Single Keyword Pattern Matching Algorithms
- Upendra Singh
Abstract
With the growth of internet based application and services it mandatory to secure those applications. Firewall is not significantly able to secure outside the network. Thus network intrusion detection systems are used to protect them. Pattern matching is used in intrusion detection systems (NIDSs). In this paper an overview and comparison is presented of various single keyword pattern matching algorithms. We explain and compare the basic differences and run time complexity of each algorithm. Thus we can say that there is no perfect algorithm that can solves all the pattern matching problem. We present different solutions according to different scenarios. Abstract
With the current mechanical and populace blast, the utilization of vehicles has quickly accumulated and in the meantime the frequencies of accidents have likewise expanded. Nobody can turn away the accidents, yet can spare their life by pushing the ambulances to the doctor's facilities in time. In this paper accidents discovery and route of crisis vehicle utilizing IoT is proposed. The target of this plan is to limit the delay caused for movement of emergency vehicles. This approach additionally plans to give the accident spot to emergency vehicle utilizing GPS which is accessible in rescue vehicle.
