Heterogeneous Resource Allocation Strategies in Elastic Cloud
- Neha Solanki
Abstract
Cloud computing deals with computation, software, data access and storage services. The main goal of cloud computing is to make a better use of distributed resources, combine them to achieve higher throughput and be able to solve large scale computation problem. In elastic cloud, user’s demand changes dynamically so proper resource allocation and scheduling is necessary. Efficient and effective resource allocation and scheduling are the basis for excellent performance of clouds, because all the quality of service constraints, like throughput, maximum efficiency, response time and power consumption are mainly dependent on the mechanism of heterogeneous resource allocation and scheduling. Sentiment Analysis in Natural Language Processing
- Neha Gaur , Neetu Sharma
Abstract
Sentiment analysis is type of analysis techniques which analysis text that automatically detect polarity of text. Sentiment analysis also called as opinion mining which is one of the major tasks of NLP (Natural Language Processing). Sentiment analysis has much popular in recent years.People are intended to develop a system that can identify and classify opinion or sentiment as represented in an electronic text. Consumers regularly face the trade-off in purchase decisions so nowadays if one wants to buy a consumer product one prefer user reviews and discussion in public forums on web about the product. Many consumers use reviews posted by other consumers before making their purchase decisions. People have a tendency to express their opinion on various entities. As a result opinion mining has gained importance. Sentiment Analysis deals with evaluating whether this expressed opinion about the entity has a positive or a negative orientation. Consumers need to decide what subset of available information to use.The process of identifying and extracting subjective information from raw data is known as sentiment analysis. An accurate method for predicting sentiments could enable us, to extract opinions from the internet and predict online customer’s preferences, which could prove valuable for economic or marketing research. Till now, there are few different problems predominating in this research community, namely, sentiment classification, feature based classification and handling negations. This paper presents a survey covering the techniques and methods in sentiment analysis and challenges appear in the field.. Performance Analysis of DMD and SURF Methods for Texture Classification
- Namrata N. Rade , Prof. J. K. Patil
Abstract
The Texture is the crucial attribute in every image classification method as it describes the appearance of object. Today, different approaches of texture classification have been developed which focus on acquisition of image features from its texture and categorize them into different classes by using a particular classifier. This paper gives a state-of-the-art texture classification technique called Dense Micro- Block Difference (DMD). In this concept, image data representation is accomplished by capturing features in the form of micro-blocks. This method gives superior performance over already established methods in terms of processing time, accuracy and robustness and able to obtain whole image information. In this paper, we have taken UMD dataset for processing and calculated different performance parameters which gives excellent results than comparative method SURF. Keyword: - - -.× Namrata N. Intelligent Facial Emotion Recognition using modified-PSO
- Miss. Sneha S. Mane , Dr. K. R. Desai
Abstract
In this paper, a facial emotion recognition technique is proposed. The proposed technique employs modified-LBP, which conduct horizontal and vertical neighbourhood pixel comparison, to generate a discriminative initial facial representation. Then, a modified-PSO, is proposed to perform feature optimization.[2]The Facial emotion recognition system consists of three steps: 1) Feature Extraction; 2) Feature Optimization; 3) Emotion Recognition. Firstly, we use modified local binary patterns (LBPs), i.e., horizontal and vertical neighbourhood comparison LBP, to extract the initial facial representation. Then, the proposed PSO algorithm is used to identify the most discriminative and significant features for differentiating distinct facial expressions. SVM(Support Vector Machine) and Multiple-SVM classifiers are used for recognizing six facial expressions.: 1) Happiness; 2) Sadness; 3) Anger; 4) Fear; 5) Surprise; 6) Disgust. Camouflage Texture Assessment Method Based on WSSIM and Nature
- Kiran More , S. B.Borse
Abstract
The human vision system finds it difficult to identify the camouflaged image on the surface the object, while examining the corresponding image. This is due to the inherent limitation of human vision system. . It is quite difficult to detect such camouflaged object because they get camouflaged in the background; they are smaller in size and also chromatically match with surrounding. The success of military weapons depends upon their ability to remain unseen by enemy. Thus camouflaging strategy is purposely employed in military applications.we will focus on the essential of the human visual system, and its relative significance of various factors affecting camouflage texture. The method detailed here develops a computational vision modelto examine the perceived differences between background image and camouflage texture background image. A dffrinet features for measuring thresholds for differentiating between small changes in naturalistic images have been studied to direct the camouflage texture designing. Assessment of Damaged Building by Using Retrofitting Techniques- Case Study
- Kalpesh R. Kolhe , Manish D. Mata
Abstract
Huge capital is invested in construction, planning and maintaining the quality of a new building. With time, old structures lose their strength and quality and thus they require restraining. Retrofitting helps in restraining of old structures by restoring their existing features and enhancing their structural capabilities. Proper assessment of damaged building to implement retrofitting techniques may help in restoring the strength and quality of old structures in lower cost and time. This paper mainly concentrates on assessment of damaged buildings by using different retrofitting techniques. Two different cases of retrofitting are presented here. The study mainly focuses on whether the total new structure is beneficial for the retrofitting of any existing structure. Keyword: Retrofitting, Restraining, Cost analysis.× Kalpesh R. Performance Improvement of Image Compression Method using Hybridization of Lossy and Lossless Method
- Anjali Ray , Piyush Sharma
Abstract
Image compression is the application of compression data .It is the technique used to reduce the redundancies in data representation in order to decrease the data storage requirements, transmission speed and communication costs. Considering the important role played by digital image and video, it is necessary to develop a system that produces high degree of compression while preserving critical image/video information. In this paper comparative analysis of image compression is done by three transform methods, which are Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) & Hybrid (DCT+DWT) Transform. An image compression algorithm is comprehended using MATLAB code MATLAB programs were written for each of the above method and concluded based on the results obtained that hybrid SVD-DWT-DCT algorithm performs much better than the standalone JPEG-based DCT, DWT algorithms in terms of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), as well as visual perception at higher compression ratio. A NOVEL HYBRID ALGORITHM FOR STITCHING OF SPINE MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGES
- Pornima V. Patil , M. S. Chavan
Abstract
The technique of merging several overlapping images from the similar viewpoint into a superior one without defeat of information is known as an image stitching. The utilization of scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) and Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC) techniques to stitch the C-T-L (cervical-thoracic-lumbar) spine magnetic resonance (MRI) images to provide the entire view of spine in a solo flawless image is the rationale of this study. All MRI images were obtained by the fast spin echo (FSE) pulse sequence using MRI scanners. Because of the limitations of MRI scanners, whenever Patients go through spinal cord examination, three different images of C-T-L sections of spine are generated. For diagnostic purpose, it is desired to have single flawless image of entire spinal cord. For the improvement of diagnosis of spine the proposed approach can be performed best. We believe that our approach can be supportive for the medical purpose and extension of other medicinal imaging modalities for image stitching. The stitching process for every section of spine MRI image were performed and implemented on a graphic user interface (GUI) configuration. Keyword: Image stitching, SIFT, RANSAC, MRI.× Pornima V.
