A Novel Approach for Efficient Usage of Intrusion Detection System in Mobile AD HOC Network
- P.kavimozh , K.Kasthuri , S.Selvakumari
Abstract
Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are self configuring, infrastructureless, dynamic wireless networks in which the nodes are resource constrained. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are used in MANETs to monitor activities so as to detect any intrusion in the otherwise vulnerable network. we present efficient schemes for analyzing and optimizing the time duration for which the intrusion detection systems need to remain active in a mobile ad hoc network. A probabilistic model is proposed that makes use of cooperation between IDSs among neighborhood nodes to reduce their individual active time. Usually, an IDS has to run all the time on every node to oversee the network behavior. This can turn out to be a costly overhead for a battery-powered mobile device in terms of power and computational resources. Hence, in this work our aim is to reduce the duration of active time of the IDSs without compromising on their effectiveness. To validate our proposed approach, we model the interactions between IDSs as a multi-player cooperative game in which the players have partially cooperative and partially conflicting goals. We theoretically analyze this game and support it with simulation results. FLIP-OFDM for Optical Wireless Communications
- Karthikeyan R , Dr.T.Geetha , Sivakumar C , Vignesh G
Abstract
Whether you’re using wireless internet in a coffee shop, stealing it from the guy next door, or competing for bandwidth at a conference, you’ve probably gotten frustrated at the slow speeds you face when more than one device is tapped into the network. As more and more people and their many devices access wireless internet, clogged airwaves are going to make it increasingly difficult to latch onto a reliable signal. But radio waves are just one part of the spectrum that can carry our data. What if we could use other waves to surf the internet? One German physicist,DR. Harald Haas, has come up with a solution he calls “Data Through Illumination”—taking the fiber out of fiber optics by sending data through an LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than the human eye can follow. It’s the same idea behind infrared remote controls, but far more powerful. Haas says his invention, which he calls D-Light, can produce data rates faster than 10 megabits per second, which is speedier than your average broadband connection. He envisions a future where data for laptops, smartphones, and tablets is transmitted through the light in a room. And security would be a snap—if you can’t see the light, you can’t access the data. Li-Fi is a VLC, visible light communication, technology developed by a team of scientists. Fake Biometric Detection using Image Quality Assessment for Enhancement of Security
- Madhavi B. Danane , Vikram A. Mane
Abstract
To ensure that the object presented in front of biometric device is real or reconstructed sample is a significant problem in biometric authentication, which requires the development of new and efficient protection measures. This paper, presents a software-based fake biometric detection method that can be used in multiple biometric systems to detect different types of fraudulent access attempts. The objective of the proposed system is to enhance the security of biometric recognition devices through the use of image quality assessment in a fast and user friendly manner. The proposed approach presents a very low degree of complexity, which makes it suitable for real-time applications, using 25 general image quality features extracted from one image to distinguish between real and imposed samples. The proposed method is highly competitive compared with other as the analysis of the general image quality of real biometric samples reveals highly valuable information that may be very efficiently used to discriminate them from fake traits. Abstract
In this paper, an ATmega16 based system for vital signs recording using GSM is developed to measure patient’s Heart Rate, Blood oxygen saturation percentage ,Body Temperature & also records ECG in real time. Nowadays people are dying because of various health problems so a device will be designed to keep track on patient which should be easy to use, portable, light weighted, small size so that it gives freedom of mobility for patient. The system is for home use by patients that are not in critical condition but need to be periodically monitored by clinician. At any critical condition the SMS is send to the doctor so that quick services can be provided. Keyword: ECG, CHF, Telemonitoring. × Smita S. Kadam , Sandeep S. Energy Efficient algorithm of Map Reduce for Big Data Applications
- D.Revathi, Vijendar amgothu
Abstract
In recent years the data mining applications become musty and outmoded over time. Energy wastage is the major problem more in big data analytics and applications. More workload and more computational time will increase high energy cost and decrease efficiency. The Incremental computational time processing is a promising approach to refreshing mining results. It utilizes previously saved states to avoid the expense of re-computation from scratch. In this paper, we propose Energy efficiency Map Reduce Scheduling Algorithm, a novel incremental processing extension to reduce the Map, the most widely used framework for mining big data. Map reduce is a programming model for processing and generating large amount of data in parallel processing time. In this paper, Energy Efficiency reduce Map (EEMP) is algorithm provide more energy and less maps in big data. Priority based scheduling is a task will allocate the schedules based on necessary and utilization of the Jobs. For reducing the maps, it will reduce the system computational time so easily energy has improved in terms of big data applications.. Final results show the experimental comparison of the different algorithms involved in the paper. Design Of Recording and Stimulation Neural Electrodes In The Brain
-Rajesh U
Abstract
Emerging prostheses and treatments for spinal cord injury, stroke, sensory deficits, and neurological disorders are based on electrical stimulation of nerve tissue and recording of neural electrical activity. Understanding the electrochemical mechanisms underlying the behaviour of neural stimulation and recording electrodes is critical for the development of chronically implanted devices, especially those that use a large number of microelectrodes. Materials that support charge injection via capacitive and faradaic mechanisms are available for stimulation. These include titanium nitride, platinum, and iridium oxide, each with its own set of benefits and drawbacks. We describe and criticise the use of charge-balanced waveforms and maximum electrochemical potential excursions as criteria for reversible charge injection with these electrode materials. Techniques for characterising electrochemical properties relevant to stimulation and recording are described, along with examples of differences in electrode response in vitro and in vivo. Study On Battery Integrated Multiple Input DC-DC Boost Converter
-Gracy Philomina K. L
Abstract
In the context of a sustainable hybrid energy supply, this research provides a battery-integrated multi-input step-up DC-DC as a unified interface for diverse energy sources. The proposed converter has one bidirectional battery port and numerous unidirectional power input ports. While charging/discharging durations are independent of switching duty ratios for input sources, the battery can be charged by input sources, discharged into load, or bypassed. Higher voltage gains with lower duty ratios are accomplished in the given BIMISUC not only by increasing the number of inputs but also by using switched inductor (SI) modules. As a result, BI-MISUC can be utilised for a wide range of applications ranging from low to high voltage/power.In addition, input sources can be run independently or concurrently to supply load energy at the required output voltage. The operation of the converter is explained under three circumstances (no battery, battery charging and discharging). For various cases, a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control is also utilised to regulate the output voltage and output power of input sources at the appropriate references. Finally, simulation and experimental findings support the BI-MISUC's performance. Keyword: DC-DC converter, Interleaved, Multiple input, Renewable energy, Voltage multiplier. × Gracy Philomina K.
