Analysis of Risk Management for Construction Projects
- ER. Hassan Mohamed Abdulnabi,Prof. (Dr.) V. C. Agarwal
Abstract
The length of the implementation period in the construction of projects may lead to a change in circumstances which expose them to many risks because of the length of the implementation period and multiple stages, beginning with the start-up phase and even phase of the project, and this leads to increased circumstances of uncertainty and increasing the probability of the occurrence of risks, and this is reflected negatively on the construction contracting and construction economy. In this research questionnaire was developed to identify the risks encountered in construction. Projects have been distributed to some local and foreign construction companies in Libya, having been identified the risks that may face the projects. Through questionnaires and interviews with engineers and project managers of companies, and making risk analysis qualitatively, there was a need to prepare a checklist of the risks facing projects in Libya, and know the benefit of the contractor and the owner based on the results. This paper examines the most important risks faced by construction projects in Libya, which is difficult and how they are able to implement these projects and housing companies, the research explains a formulated model to evaluate companies before being contracted to know the financial and technical capabilities. - Bibhudutta Jena
Abstract
Todays era is generally treated as the era of data on each and every field of computing application huge amount of data is generated. The society is gradually more dependent on computers so large amount of data is generated in each and every second which is either in structured format, unstructured format or semi structured format. These huge amount of data are generally treated as big data. To analyze big data is a biggest challenge in current world. Hadoop is an open-source framework that allows to store and process big data in a distributed environment across clusters of computers using simple programming models. It is designed to scale up from single servers to thousands of machines, each offering local computation and storage and it generally follows horizontal processing. Map Reduce programming is generally run over Hadoop Framework and process the large amount of structured and unstructured data. This Paper describes about different joining strategies used in Map reduce programming to combine the data of two files in Hadoop Framework and also discusses the skewness problem associate to it. Automatic Bug Triage with Data Reduction
- Fareen Sayed, Hetvi Shah, Prajakta Ohal, Namrata Kharat, Gopal Deshmukh
Abstract
Bug triage means to transfer a new bug to expertise developer. The manual bug triage is opulent in time and poor in accuracy, there is a need to automatize the bug triage process. In order to automate the bug triage process, text classification techniques are applied using stopword removal and stemming. In our proposed work we have used NB-Classifiers to predict the developers. The data reduction techniques like instance selection and keyword selection are used to obtain bug report and words. This will help the system to predict only those developers who are expertise in solving the assigned bug. We will also provide the change of status of bug report i.e. if the bug is solved then the bug report will be updated. If a particular developer fails to solve the bug then the bug will go back to another developer. Behavior of Symmetric and Asymmetric Structure in High Seismic Zone
- Desai R.M, Khurd V.G., Patil S.P., Bavane N.U.
Abstract
In the present report, at present scenario many buildings are asymmetric in elevation based on the distribution of mass and stiffness along each storey throughout the height of the building. Most recent earthquakes have shown that the irregular distribution of mass, stiffness and strengths may cause serious damage in structural systems. This project performance of the torsionally balanced and torsionally unbalanced buildings also called as symmetric and asymmetric buildings by subjecting to response-spectrum analysis. The buildings have un-symmetrical distribution of vertical irregularinstoreys. In this project the effort is made to study the effect of eccentricity between centre of mass (CM) and centre of stiffness (CR) on the performance of the buildings. Three buildings (G+3), (G+6) & (G+9) models are considered for study, which are constructed on medium soil in seismic zone II of India (as per IS:1893-2002), one symmetric and asymmetric in vertical irregular distribution. The performance of a multi-storey framed building during sturdy earthquake motions depends on the distribution of mass, stiffness, and strength in both the horizontal and vertical planes of the building. In some cases, these weaknesses may be produced by discontinuities in stiffness, strength or mass between adjoining storeys. Such discontinuities between storeys are often allied with sudden variations in the frame geometry along the height.
