- P.Bhanumathi. MSC, M.Phil., K.Sangeetha
Abstract
Target pursuit is one in all the key applications of wireless device networks (WSNs). Existing work largely needs organizing teams of device nodes with measurements of a targets movements or correct distance measurements from the nodes to the target, and predicting those movements. These are, however, typically tough to accurately accomplish in follow, particularly within the case of unpredictable environments, device faults, etc. during this paper, we have a tendency to propose a brand new pursuit framework, referred to as Face Track, that employs the nodes of a special region encompassing a target, referred to as a face. rather than predicting the target location singly in an exceedingly face, we have a tendency to estimate the targets moving toward another face. we have a tendency to introduce a foothold detection algorithmic rule to come up with every face more in such how that the nodes will prepare previous the targets moving, that greatly helps pursuit the target in an exceedingly timely fashion and convalescent from special cases, e.g., device fault, loss of pursuit. Also, we have a tendency to develop associate optimum choice algorithmic rule to pick that sensors of faces to question and to forward the pursuit information. Simulation results, compared with existing work, show that Face Track achieves higher pursuit accuracy and energy potency. - K.Namcharaiah, K. Somaiah chowdary, K.Balakrishna Reddy
Abstract
The present investigation deals with the static analysis of adhesively bonded inner tapered double lap joint in laminated FRP composites subjected to transverse loading using three-dimensional theory of elasticity based finite element method. Many researchers studied the influences of various parameters on the failure behaviour on the composites. In those studies, the typical bonding parameters are surface conditions, fillet, bond line thickness, and environmental conditions. In the present study the stresses and deformation characteristics of adhesively bonded inner tapered double lap joint made of generally and especially orthotropic laminates (FRP) subjected to transverse loading for the three different adhesive angles, three different adhesive thicknesses with different fibre angle orientations, i.e. the adhesive angles from 350 to 450 increased in steps of 50. The variation in stresses and deflection are studied when the fibre angle orientation is varied from 00 to 900 in steps of 150. The adhesive thickness varies from 0.05 to 0.15 insteps of 0.05mm. In all the above cases stresses and displacements at various locations are evaluated for the static boundary conditions. An Energy Efficient Multicasting Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
- Akshdeep Kaur, Jyoti Saxena, Ravneet Kaur
Abstract
Wireless sensor network consists of hundreds to thousands of nodes that communicate among themselves using radio signals and any node can leave or join the network when required. In Wireless sensor network no central controller is present. Sensor nodes deployed in the network are responsible for data routing in the network. Wireless sensor network is used to monitor the environmental conditions such as temperature, pressure, humidity, sound, noise etc. Wireless Sensor nodes have very small size and have limited resources. In far places, it is very difficult to recharge or replace the battery of the sensor nodes. In such conditions, focus is to reduce the battery consumption of the sensor nodes. In this work, a new technique is proposed to enable efficient battery consumption in a multicasting routing protocol. In this technique, the cluster heads are selected on the basis of dynamic clustering using neural network. Simulation results show that the proposed technique is more reliable, energy efficient and provide better results as compared to the existing technique. Abstract
A Mobile Ad-hoc network is a set of mobile terminals moving in different directions at different speed being wirelessly connected to each-other. In this paper we study the proactive Link State Routing Protocol OLSR, which uses hello and topology control (TC) messages to find then distribute link state data throughout the mobile ad hoc network. Individual nodes use this topology data to calculate next hop destinations for all nodes within the network using shortest hop forwarding paths. We then suggest ways by which the existing algorithm can be optimized in terms of delay, throughput, power consumption, jitter etc. Finally we summarize the applications of OLSR Keyword: -----. × Satyam Awasthi, Soumosir Dutta ,Deepanshu Arora , Prof. Manikandan K"A study on Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR),Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)" Vol. 2 - Issue 6 ( Nov - Dec 2016), International Journal of Engineering and Techniques (IJET) , ISSN: 2395 - 1303 , www.ijetjournal.org × |

Review of Effort Distribution in IT Companies
- Reetuparna Mukherjee, Taniya Gupta, Mythili Thirugnanam
Abstract
Effort distribution, be it by phase or activity, is an important aspect of SDLC. Yet it is often overlooked in the process of cost estimation. Poor effort allocation is one of the root causes of rework owing to early activities being insufficiently resourced. This paper presents various phase effort distribution patterns and variation sources. The analysis results of these patterns show some consistency in effects of size of software and team size on code and test phase distribution variations, and some considerable deviations in design, requirements, and transition phases, compared with recommendations in the COCOMO model. Software size, in turn, depends on the small-medium, medium-large companies having different schemes. Finally, the major findings of this paper discusses about threats to validity and presents general guidelines in directing effort distribution across the various software development methods, time duration of the phases of SDLC and the team strength. Based on the above factors, effort distribution can be estimated. A MMC Based Three-Phase Wind Energy Inverter (WEI) With Flexible AC Transmission System
- Nageswara Rao Challa, S Chandraprakash Rao S
Abstract
A Power quality problem is an occurrence of nonstandard voltage, current or frequency that results in a failure or a misoperation of end user equipments. Utility distribution networks, sensitive industrial loads and critical commercial operations suffer from various types of outages and service interruptions which can cost significant financial losses. With the increase in load demand, the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are increasingly connected in the distribution systems which utilizes power electronic Converters/Inverters. This paper presents a single-stage, three-phase grid connected solar photovoltaic (SPV) system. The proposed system is dual purpose, as it not only feeds extracted solar energy into the grid but it also helps in improving power quality in the distribution system. The presented system serves the purpose of maximum power point tracking (MPPT), feeding SPV energy to the grid, harmonics mitigation of loads connected at point of common coupling (PCC) and balancing the grid currents. The SPV system uses a three-phase voltage source converter (VSC) for performing all these functions. An improved linear sinusoidal tracer (ILST)-based control algorithm is proposed for control of VSC. In the proposed system, a variable dc link voltage is used for MPPT. An instantaneous compensation technique is used incorporating changes in PV power for fast dynamic response. The SPV system is first simulated in MATLAB along with Simulink and simpower system toolboxes. DC Motor Speed Control Using Microcontroller
- Sarita S Umadi, Dinesh Patil
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to control the speed of DC motor. The main advantage in using a DC motor is that the Speed-Torque relationship can be varied to almost any useful form. To achieve the speed control an electronic technique called Pulse Width Modulation is used which generates High and Low pulses. These pulses vary the speed in the motor. For the generation of these pulses a microcontroller (AT89c51) is used. As a microcontroller is used to set the speed ranges which is done by changing the duty cycles time period in the program. This is practical and highly feasible in economic point of view, and has an advantage of running motors of higher ratings. This paper gives a reliable, durable, accurate and efficient way of speed control of a DC motor. - Namrata Dangat ,Dr.V.C.Kotak ,Prof. Sushma Srivastava
Abstract
Multiplication is the most time consuming process in various signal processing operations like convolution, circular convolution, auto-correlation and cross-correlation. With advances in technology, many researchers have tried and are trying to design multipliers which offer either of the following- high speed, low power consumption, regularity of layout and hence less area or even combination of them in multiplier. However area and speed are two conflicting constraints. So improving speed results always in larger areas. So here we try to find out the best trade off solution among the both of them. To have features like high speed and low power consumption multipliers several algorithms have been introduced .In this paper, we describes Multipliers by using various algorithm in VLSI technology. The Wallace Tree Multipliers are compared with existing multipliers in terms of improvement in features like area, delay and power consumption by using different logical operation. Abstract
Quantum chemical calculations were performed on Coumarin and its derivatives to determine corrosion inhibition properties using Parameterized Model7 (PM7). EHOMO (highest occupied molecular orbital energy), ELUMO (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy), energy gap (?E), dipole moment () and other parameters including global hardness (?), global softness (S), absolute electro negativity (?), and electrophilicity index (?) from inhibitor molecule to the metallic atom were determined. Results illustrate that adsorption of inhibitor onto metal surface would preferentially be through heteroatoms of molecules. DTCWT Based EEG Biomarker Detection and Classification for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
- Brighty Licy Pious
Abstract
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is the most common progressive neurodegenerative disorder reflecting the degeneration of upper and lower motor neurons. Motor neurons controls the communication between nervous system and muscles of the body. ALS results in the loss of voluntary control over muscular activities along with the inability to breathe and the maximum life expectancy of affected individual will be 3-5 years from the onset of symptoms. But the lifetime of affected people can be extended by early detection of disease. The usual methods for diagnosis are Electromyography (EMG), Nerve Conduction Study (NCS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Magneto-encephalography (MEG). But some of these methods may erroneously result in neuropathy or myopathy instead of ALS and some do not provide any biomarker. EEG is comparatively least expensive method and it provides biomarker for ALS detection. ALS is always associated with fronto-temporal dementia (FTD). The spectral analysis of EEG will reveal the structural and functional connectivity alterations of the underlying neural network that occurs due to FTD and it can generate potential biomarkers for the early detection of ALS. A novel algorithm has been developed by exploiting the Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT) technique and it can overcome the short comes of existing methods for the analysis and feature extraction of EEG. Deterministic biomarkers were obtained from spectral analysis of EEG and the proposed algorithm provided 100% accuracy for all the test datasets. Abstract
The length of the implementation period in the construction of projects may lead to a change in circumstances which expose them to many risks because of the length of the implementation period and multiple stages, beginning with the start-up phase and even phase of the project, and this leads to increased circumstances of uncertainty and increasing the probability of the occurrence of risks, and this is reflected negatively on the construction contracting and construction economy. In this research questionnaire was developed to identify the risks encountered in construction. Projects have been distributed to some local and foreign construction companies in Libya, having been identified the risks that may face the projects. Through questionnaires and interviews with engineers and project managers of companies, and making risk analysis qualitatively, there was a need to prepare a checklist of the risks facing projects in Libya, and know the benefit of the contractor and the owner based on the results. This paper examines the most important risks faced by construction projects in Libya, which is difficult and how they are able to implement these projects and housing companies, the research explains a formulated model to evaluate companies before being contracted to know the financial and technical capabilities. A review on Joining Approaches in Hadoop Framework and Skewness Associate to it
- Bibhudutta Jena
Abstract
Todays era is generally treated as the era of data on each and every field of computing application huge amount of data is generated. The society is gradually more dependent on computers so large amount of data is generated in each and every second which is either in structured format, unstructured format or semi structured format. These huge amount of data are generally treated as big data. To analyze big data is a biggest challenge in current world. Hadoop is an open-source framework that allows to store and process big data in a distributed environment across clusters of computers using simple programming models. It is designed to scale up from single servers to thousands of machines, each offering local computation and storage and it generally follows horizontal processing. Map Reduce programming is generally run over Hadoop Framework and process the large amount of structured and unstructured data. This Paper describes about different joining strategies used in Map reduce programming to combine the data of two files in Hadoop Framework and also discusses the skewness problem associate to it. Abstract
Engine is one of the most significant component of road vehicles. High performance vehicles have their engine supported by bracket. The engine mounting plays an important role in reducing the noise and vibrations, improving the comfort and work environment of a vehicle. The present work deals with design modification of engine mounting bracket. Modelling work has been carried out with commercial desktop CAD software and analyzed the modal performance with Analysis software. Ribs has been adopted to the existing mounting bracket for its better performance structural, thermal and modal analysis has been carried out with analysis software. Aluminium alloy, aluminium silicon carbide and magnesium alloy are considered as the different materials of mounting bracket. Based on the analysis it is found that the aluminium silicon carbide is superior suited for the modified V6 engine mounting bracket. Automatic Bug Triage with Data Reduction
- Fareen Sayed, Hetvi Shah, Prajakta Ohal, Namrata Kharat, Gopal Deshmukh
Abstract
Bug triage means to transfer a new bug to expertise developer. The manual bug triage is opulent in time and poor in accuracy, there is a need to automatize the bug triage process. In order to automate the bug triage process, text classification techniques are applied using stopword removal and stemming. In our proposed work we have used NB-Classifiers to predict the developers. The data reduction techniques like instance selection and keyword selection are used to obtain bug report and words. This will help the system to predict only those developers who are expertise in solving the assigned bug. We will also provide the change of status of bug report i.e. if the bug is solved then the bug report will be updated. If a particular developer fails to solve the bug then the bug will go back to another developer. Behavior of Symmetric and Asymmetric Structure in High Seismic Zone
- Desai R.M, Khurd V.G., Patil S.P., Bavane N.U.
Abstract
In the present report, at present scenario many buildings are asymmetric in elevation based on the distribution of mass and stiffness along each storey throughout the height of the building. Most recent earthquakes have shown that the irregular distribution of mass, stiffness and strengths may cause serious damage in structural systems. This project performance of the torsionally balanced and torsionally unbalanced buildings also called as symmetric and asymmetric buildings by subjecting to response-spectrum analysis. The buildings have un-symmetrical distribution of vertical irregularinstoreys. In this project the effort is made to study the effect of eccentricity between centre of mass (CM) and centre of stiffness (CR) on the performance of the buildings. Three buildings (G+3), (G+6) & (G+9) models are considered for study, which are constructed on medium soil in seismic zone II of India (as per IS:1893-2002), one symmetric and asymmetric in vertical irregular distribution. The performance of a multi-storey framed building during sturdy earthquake motions depends on the distribution of mass, stiffness, and strength in both the horizontal and vertical planes of the building. In some cases, these weaknesses may be produced by discontinuities in stiffness, strength or mass between adjoining storeys. Such discontinuities between storeys are often allied with sudden variations in the frame geometry along the height.
